AOL’s Popeater blog has the premiere of David Cook’s coronation song “The Time of My Life”.
You know. It’s a coronation song. Dreams and magic rainbows abound. He also rises from the ashes and finds his wings. The production is super cheesy. Cookie gives it his all. What a trouper. He’ll have to sing it on tour, but I expect he’ll abandon it as soon as he can.

I don’t even care about ‘magic rainbows’ at this point. Cook’s singin’ it, I’m buyin’ it. Just listen to his voice and ignore the lyrics.
I agree Cook and Arch are both class acts and you can see they genuinely care about each other almost like brothers. DC seems protective of DA and DA seems to look up to DC. Very sweet.

I must’ve replayed a clip I found of last nights announcement and performance on youtube a zillion times throughout the day. The song is growing on me more and more, I kinda like what his rasp does to it. Its strange to say since I don’t know him personally, but I am so frickin’ proud of this guy.

and also hollgo– i agree w/ the fact that his aweseomness makes me forget all the cheese that comes w/ the lyrics. that sad, i liked “dream big” better, but i like “time of my life” too. am wondering tho, if by mid august when i FINALLY get to see the concert, if he will be pure sick of singing it.

DC is a MIRACLE. Really, not in one million years did I think I would be repeatedly listening to an Idol coronation song. And the way that Archie’s performances have led me to recently get rid of about a half GB’s worth of ballads on my player, that’s saying a lot.

Well, as of this morning, the coronation cheeze-fest the is This is the Time of My Life has been pulled from iTunes and is no longer available for sale in the U.S. What do you suppose the strategy is here? i dont understand it either.. they were suppose to pull the ai contestant stuff but i didnt think they’d pull his new single.. its probably a mistake
