Elliott Yamin Performs on PBS
“I’m In Love With You Forever” Check out the dancing girls! BTW, I could have done without Tony Danza singing and tap-dancing…Yikes!
“America the Beautiful”. Nice job, Elliott! The the little “patriotic” speech at the beginning was a nice touch…

Thanks, MJ, for providing these videos. Great to see Elliott performing at such a huge event with such natural ease. He did a great job with these songs and sounds tremendous with an orchestra and backup singers. Could have done without the cheesy dancing girls, but Elliott handled the occasion with style.
I think this was a fantastic night for Elliott! I loved hearing him with that orchestra and choir. His version of America the Beautiful was, well, beautiful and I loved how he worked the audeince on I’m in Love with You Forever. Elliott was on last night in a major way! Thanks for sharing the videos MJ!
thanks for posting the videos, MJ!
Elliott at his best, loved the orchestra, his tie, his vocals, his comfort with himself and the crowd…wow
Elliot sounded great last night. I agree with the original poster in this thread, I could have done without the dancing girls. They made me chuckle.
He looked HAWT!!!! And he sounded FANTASTIC!!! He’s really come into his own with his stage presence! I am so proud of him. I wonder if Mama Yamin was in the audience watching her boy sing infront of the Capitol to hundreds of thousands of people (and millions on TV)
Rewatching the clips this morning. America the Beautiful is spectacular — very moving and soulful. It takes a special something to soar with a full orchestra and choir.
Thanks MJ for posting these videos. Elliott did a great job with both songs. Boy’s come a long way. Loved “America the Beautiful”.
I am loving Elliott’s performance-growth. That was awesome!!!
I watched this with my 92-year old Mother. She thought Elliot had a really nice voice, but was not a fan of the hair and beard. I would like for Elliot to maybe trim it all up a bit, LOL. (She did ask if he was singing “live” and I said “Oh yeah!”)
To me, Elliot had the best voice of that whole night. He really was terrific.
Oh, and Hayden Panettiere…..keep that “Heroes” job. A singer you ain’t.
LMAO. Yeah…Hayden is a “recording artist” apparently. Then again, so is Ashlee Simpson, Hillary Duff, Lindsay Lohan, and Paris Hilton. I love “Heroes”. I do not like her “singing”….at all.
And yes, Elliott was INCREDIBLE. His tone was really magnified last night. I thought that he was the best of them all.
I just wish he would get rid of that hair :/
Elliott Yamin is such a Great American . His journey from Counter Clerk to singing at the Capital Fourth is what this country is all about.Everyone on this journey with Elliott has watched Elliott , humble, talented and grateful . We too have been blessed seeing that dreams do come true. He is an inspiration for all of us.
Thank you for Posting mj. Elliott looked Great and Sounded AMAZING…best of the night ! I was so very proud of Elliott !
I, too watched and was so proud of him. Does anyone know how he got invited to sing? I’d be interested in knowing.
“Industry veterans Jeff Rabhan, Stuart Dill and Cal Turner III have launched Three Ring Projects (TRP), an entertainment company with a management roster that includes The Wreckers, Jermaine Dupri, Kelis and American Idol’s Elliott Yamin, among others. The company is based in Los Angeles and Nashville.”
Jeff Rabhan who used to be with The Firm is Elliott’s manager and seems to be doing an excellent job.
Elliott was great. And he looked taller, lol.
Who told Tony Danza (and Hayden P. ) that they could sing. They were god-awful!
I like Elliotts hair but it does need a little trim. lol Dierks Bentley, country music star, cut his hair and since then his new album hasnt done as well. His cutie pie hairdo was part of his charm, and just like Elliotts lol.
Elliott sounds amazing and is gettin to be quite the showman on stage. I am so happy for him! Go Elliott!
Thanks jpfan for the info
I wish he would cut his hair a little but he is still fine.
Very, very, very nice.
Yeah, I kinda wish he would cut his hair too. But whatever, He sounds good. Good job Elliott!
Apparently, Hayden P is a Grammy nominee. LOL. It’s for a best spoken album. But still, “Grammy Award-nominated Hayden Panettiere” is valid! LMAO!
Skinny ties make you look taller. :wink_wp:
I only just now heard America The Beautiful and although I’m not American, that song (or Elliott’s rendition) gave me goosebumps.
I finally got the vids to load (thanks for putting them up separately MJ for us dial-up users) – and WOW! I knew America the Beautiful would be outstanding, but I thought I’m In Love With You was excellent, dancing girls and all. The dancers seemed a little cheesy at first, but it just somehow seemed appropriate, for Elliott the soulman has come full circle. Next time, maybe he can throw in a few dance steps of his own. :wink_wp:
