Elliott Yamin posted an update on his fan board the ETrain a few days ago. Here’s what Elliott has coming up in the near future:
- Elliott is booking a tour for January-February ‘†northeast to midwest to west coast to southwest to southeast. It looks like he’ll be kicking off at the Birchmere in DC on Jan. 2. (A Jan. 1 date at the Highline Ballroom in NYC has been canceled, for some reason.)
- Also in the pipeline: a live, acoustic EP that will include “B-sides and maybe a song or two.” He hopes to have it ready by early 2010. (acoustic Elliott…Yay!)
- Plus, Elliott will play his first South American gig at a music festival in Chile in February, and in March he’ll be heading back to Angola to do charity work for the orphanage he visited a couple of years ago and an anti-malaria initiative, this time backed by Exxon Mobil cash.

South America! Interesting to see how South America responds to him. Anyone knows if other Idols have done shows in South America (or Latin America, for that matter)?

Elliott did an appearance for Exxon Mobile a couple of months ago and they donated $100,000 to the orphange/school in Angola. I hope this visit ends up on Idol Gives Back.
It will be interesting to see how So. America responds to Elliott. He has such a beautiful voice and he’s such a nice guy that it can’t help but be a positive experience.

I really like Elliott. He deserves any success he has. There was a rumor he and Taylor were going to record a song together. I hope it’s true.
Well, they have done one, you know. Taylor’s last album includes a duet with Elliott on Woman’s Gotta to Have It. It’s a great song and they did a great job with it. Is that what you’re thinking of or is there a rumor of a new one?
