Fantasia was the last in a series of Idol appearances on Live with Regis and Kelly this week. Fantasia has always been one of my favorite Idol winners (I’d say she’s second behind Taylor Hicks, for me) but after seeing her moving performance a few weeks ago in “The Color Purple” in NYC, I’m firmly on the Fanty bandwagon.
More video: Check out Team Plaid for lots of Blake Lewis goodies, including his fabulous glitch-free performance of “She Will Be Loved” on The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet. Blake sings against gorgeous looped harmonies and tags some U2 at the end for extra coolness. Awesome.
Next, Jordin Sparks performed at the Walmart shareholders meeting this morning. You can watch the webcast here.

Fantasia is simply amazing…such a sweet soul.
Blake’s not bad, either.
I am so pleased that Fantasia is getting the recognition she deserves. She’s incredibly talented, and remains humble and grateful. Great interview and performance. I want to see this show before she leaves the cast, that’s for sure. Thanks for posting it.
Anyone who’s on the fence about seeing The Color Purple, let me refer you to this contraband of Fanty singing “I’m Here” on Broadway.
Fanty is awesome. Love her.
As for Blake: glitch-free SWBL WOWY = MAGIC. That was the coolest thing I’ve seen on tv (well, youtube). Ever. I’m sensing that’s just a little teaser for the tour, and I seriously can’t. wait. to see that live.
Wow, That’s my girl Fantasia. I did not know she was on R&K. Did she sing a second song? And if so, did anyone record it?
Fantasia sounded pretty good. I didn’t watch her season but did catch her singing Summertime which was incredible.
That’s my favorite version yet of Blake doing She will be loved. Loved the U2 ending! He really does well in all of the interviews I’ve heard.
Fantasia is stunning. If I had the money, I’d go to NYC to see the show… but good for her and her amazing reviews.
