    MLB

Article on David Cook at the Royals game tonight from the team’s website.
I wish they had put up video of his singing Take Me Out to the Ball Game but so far, no.

I In my opinion, Cook’s emotional state today was likely heightened by having Adam Cook and that branch of the family there to share in this special experience with him. (Even though Fox Channel 4 mentioned on air that Adam did not attend all the day’s events with David, but did attend some.)

How wonderful for the whole family and that must have made this wonderful day even more perfect for David Cook. I’m sure he was genuinely moved by his fan support but he seems to be more emotional when Adam is there as well.

I especially loved hearing his Foo Fighter’s song “Hero” today but thought both his mini-concerts were great (I watched online NOT in person.)

Someone said there were three radio interviews today but I have only found 2 online (93 & 95) Thanks MJ for the video of the 93.3 one. Does anyone have a third one with a link?

David Cook singing “My Hero” was just amazing and left me wishing for an acoustic version on American Idol.

If he sang his acoustic version of “My Hero” on American Idol, I think he’d have it in the bag!!!

Have to add this YouTube link — it’s a close-up video from a fan of Cookie singing “You’ll Always Be My Baby” (the TV version is a very long overhead shot).

What’s lovely here, beside his impeccable guitar playing and vocals, is seeing him to react to the crowd singing heartily along.

what do you want to bet it was the first time in this guy’s life that a crowd this big listened to him, let alone sang along with him?

Also, Rebecca, they put up a video on the Kansas City Fox station of him singing “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” at the Royals game, but I couldn’t get the sound to work!! Sometimes major league teams are very weird about letting this stuff be seen. I looked forever to find LaKisha’s version of the National Anthem at a Detroit Tigers game, and finally gave up.

Just watched Syesha’s Summertime performance. whew, that was bad. I still can’t figure out how she made it this far.

David Cook rocks, period. love, love, love his voice.

I had the good fortune to attend the Blue Springs events yesterday for DC. I got into the stadium too late to have a seat in the bleachers, so my friend and I walked to the end across from the stage and up a hill to stand and watch. Lo and behold, when Cookie came into the stadium, he walked right past us and waved and smiled at us! That was cool! He looked totally verklempt at the turnout and started crying.

His version of My Hero was absolutely fantastic! I have to say it was very touching and exciting to be part of it all and in some small way, show David the support he so richly deserves.

I think he’s gonna KILL on Tuesday…these events were just the thing he needed to see it through to the end!

Here is a fan video of David Cook throwing out the first pitch and getting an honorary score card from the KC Royals.

Here is a fan video of “Take Me Out to the Ball Game.” It is a little rough, but its the only one I have seen with sound. The KC Fox video doesn’t have sound, but it is closer up.

Here is a fan video of him throwing out the first pitch and getting an honorary score card from the Royals with DC as the 10th man. Cute! They introduced him by showing BJ on the jumbo tron (spelling??)
