- Paula Abdul choses for him - “And So it Goes” by Billy Joel
One song is chosen by the contestant, one song is chosen by a judge, the third song is picked by the producers.

I’ve checked out several versions FTEISYF on you tube and the version which comes closest to what I imagine Cookie doing is The Journey South version….the tempo is a bit faster which would suit his style of arranging. I have complete faith that however he arranges and performs it that he will kill it!

I also read a rumor that DC’s producer’s choice is Hotel California…a song about drugs.
Do people just have fun making this stuff up? Is that the kind of foolishness that goes on at the scary boards??
Steph - yeah, people get lots of enjoyment from making up fake spoilers. But I wouldn’t know anything about that. *walks away whistling innocently*

Well crap. Archie fans are saying the *Longer* rumor is now confirmed. Producer’s and I know your watching, thanks for making Archie ruin some great Fogelberg for me. No way can I watch that.

They say it is the Producer’s choice.
Archie is just 17 and now he has two songs that talk of emotions and experiences by someone who might have actually had such experiences. He really can’t interpret these in a way that allow anyone to keep a really straight face. It is like a 5 year old singing “Get Down Make Love.” Just kinda stomach turning.
Geez…the producers chose it? I’d think they would go with something a little more current.
Ah well, I guess my last hope is that his personal choice is not a ballad.
I am not pleased to read that Randy gave Syesha a song she sang on another reality show. There is not evidence that he knew she had done this song before, but I find it highly unlikey that he would just pick this song out of thin air, and what do you know, it happens to be one she already has performed on national TV. I don’t like blatant manipulation.
Gwen I am reading grumblings from his fans that he might have changed his personal choice due to having two ballads already.
Ah the problem is…..without a ballad, he is kind of a fish out of water.
