Linny, I’m looking for Star’s montage to the tune of “I like the way you move.” I can’t find the you tube link. :(

    Thanks, Nevada!

That montage, which I think is the very best ever, was done by Shannon. Is she Star here? Let me look in my file …

See mucho previous posts re: Chris buys expensive house, etc.

I read the previous posts….but did not note that anyone had actually seen a recorded mortgage….seems to me that is only way one would know unless inside info from the man himself…750K is not necessarily an expensive home …..

    ———–

Google the property assessor in his county in NC - it should come up, unless he’s had it sealed.

750K isn’t huge for NC but he got more for his money buying in Nowhere, NC.

And think about it, there has to be a mortgage. He was living off of gifted money during Idol. Didn’t have a dime.

What about equity? Before he was on Idol, Chris ownned a house, so he would have had some equity built up in that house. He sold his old house, and that equity would be applied when he purchased his new home.

I remember that Bo Bice didn’t sell his old house at first, but let a displaced Katrina family live there for awhile. I don’t think any of the Idols are hurting. Let’s not forget the money from the tour.

what’s the link to the shannon montage? I need that! :)

I think that Chris had the money for the house. For some reason, I remember that a big fuss was made that he bought such an expensive house. Ace just bought a house in California - nothing in California is cheap. So, someone, somewhere is paying these guys.

And Bobby is in it, too. :)

Okay, Mississippi.. I win at killing the thread. :)

    Linny, that’s Shannon’s work.

I’m sleepy, but I gotta agree. Ace has a new house and a Jag? What gives? He had to get a friend to help him buy his suit.

Sorry a little late on the tour capacity info…

    I’m going to offer a few corrections to neo’s list for those that may be interested;

    1) Mobile is the Theatre within the larger Center, capacity about 1900.

    2) Huntsville is the Concert Hall within the larger complex, capacity 2153.

    3) Columbus will be the indoor seating only due to time of year, and I believe it is around 2000.

    4) Baltimore is 3-tier with the upper for VIP’s only. Capacity for minions in the other 2 tiers is about 1200.

Caught “Children of Men” tonight, a riveting film. The soundtrack blew me away - some wonderful classical choices along with great British pop. Both Lennon’s ‘Freda People’ and Jarvis Cocker’s ‘Ruling the World’ in the same movie (at the end, albeit), as well as classic King Crimson. A terrific surprise in both a movie and music.

Fred - Good to hear you enjoyed “Children of Men.” The combination of Alfonso Cuaron and Clive Owen is very promising, to say the least. I look forward to seeing it when it makes its way to my neck of the woods.

Just saw error in my post. ‘Running the World’ is the correct Jarvis Cocker track that closes out “Children of Men.” [Hey mj, I need a 4 hour edit option. That would be a 14,400 second countdown timer, ok?]

God, you are funny!!!! Now Dingo…Ricky is one good looking man and an extremely savy/sophisticated performer. And speaking of gay, when all the talk started about Ricky being gay, I really thought about it and realized since he was never going to ask me out for a date, what the hell difference did it make if he was gay or straight? Same with Taylor. He is what he is and I do not love him for his sexual prefernces. Just entertain me!

May I suggest that some gossip-monger at the Enquirer might read this and make inappropriate surmises based on “rumors” on the Internet about Taylor’s sexuality? Just sayin’.

    For anyone who cares:
Great interview and performance of John Mayer at Ellen DeGeneres.
He is promoting his new single Gravity.
