The pictures were posted yesterday, and yeah, that was a very nice write-up. I think Taylor has had more mentions in People than AI this season, lol.
I said I was leaving, but I’m like a moth to the flame, dangit. I’m really leaving now…
And EW has Blake in FRONT of LaKisha? Over my dead body. Guess I have to start using TWO lines to vote for Sanjaya.
If Taylor had the tenacity to keep going for 10 years without a lot support, surely he has the drive and determination to become a force in the music industry with his current clout.

These positive reviews of E’s stuff are fantastic. Makes me wish a certain winner hadn’t won, so he wouldn’t have had to compromise. :-)
Lovin’ the A16 predictions. I love to look back at the end of the year and see how wrong everyone was. Mandisa and Ace were strong frontrunners this time of year, were they not? I personally believe that Lakisha is going to crash and burn. She’s just too one-note and displays no signs of versatility, nor does she display an interest in being versatile. Everything is right out of the Diva Playbook.
I love season six for the snark quality, but for the entertainment quality and cheering for your team, it’s lacking. Liking Melinda is just too easy for me to get really excited over it. Ah well. That’s why I have you guys. :-)

I just realized I didn’t read anything from yesterday afternoon/evening. I was in Austin!! And, of course, thought everyone would stop posting comments until I got back!
Now we have 4 people with the AI5 title haha! - Chris (whom AI thinks won), Elliot (who Billboard thinks won) haha, Kat (who *really didn’t WANT to win) and Taylor (who actually WON!).
Ok people who is it? Who actually won last year? Or was it just a dream? It’s getting a bit crowded at the top, eh?
Kat just wanted to go to the kodiak, because then she knew they were both getting a record contract and that’s what she wanted

BTW and FYI: If an Elliott-Taylor fan war starts here in the daily, I’ll be banning season 5 talk, period.
Elliott is the ultimate victor in terms of having TIME to make the CD he wanted to make, getting a great percentage of the EARNINGS, having more CONTROL over his CD, etc.
Now if this translates into good sales than that would be icing on the cake.
I think we might be safe MJ from a Taylor - Elliott fanwar since It seems people love EITHER Taylor OR Chris but everyone loves Elliott no matter who their first love is or isn’t.
I figure that it’s the former, since the reviewer compared the labels and the handling (Elliott’s vs. Katharine’s/Taylor’s).
Please no fan wars! I want to talk AI5 - especially now! :)
I think it’s great that we have so many success stories coming out of AI5. There’s no need for one-upmanship at all. It’s their lives and their careers. If people fight about it here, it won’t change a thing. Let’s just sit back, enjoy the music and go to some great concerts!

RE: Season 6, the NYPost had a funny article about Sanjaya today (didn’t see a link.) It said he was the worst guy among the worst group of male singers AI ever had.The rest of the article was entirely about his hair. Season 6 boring? Maybe it’s meh because the competition is between 2 or 3 people. Hoping some of the others (Jordin) step up. My gut feeling is its lost some pop but still a fun show.
I finally discovered Chris’s appeal:
If you drink, have some beers, a margarita, a glass of wine, a tequila shot, or a rum & coke, etc before the concert and just relax and enjoy yourself.
You have to be inebriated to enjoy his concert!!
I don’t love Elliott,and, never have. I couldn’t stand to hear him on AI. Sorry, but, someone said everyone loves E. Don’t hate him, of course, just don’t love him. The vibrato drove me up a wall. Won’t be buying his CD.

griz……….thanks for posting those People pics yesterday. I got my copy today and in fact I subscribed just hoping they would have some articles in during the year. (fanaticism?) It is kind of expensive. Before we go to Pala……..if Taylor sings anything with just a guitar, stool and spotlight, are you going to be screaming the whole time? I really like you, so want to know whose mouth I will be stuffing a sock in.
Heya Mad - nah, I’m not really the screamer type. I actually like the hear the concert ya know? LOL! BUT, if I’m surrounded by screamers, I might have to kick their a$$’s - and heaven help them if I have to do that.
hi guys, does dogdoc, the vet, still post here? my dog is allergic to grass and he was just given a prescription for some new medicine (atopica) that might cause seizures. i haven’t given it to him yet. i usually stick with either baby benedril or prednizone when he is having a bad night. he used to have allergy shots but they stopped working for him about a year ago. i was wondering if she had any familiarity with atopica and its side effects…see below for most recent mugshot…if you like doggies, it’ll be worth it!

griz………I’ll help LOL. I can scream with the best of em, but there’s a time and place for it, and I would like to hear one song like My Homes’s In Alabama just to listen to. I’m just thinking that the casino setting will be conducive to some raucous behavior, and some people are really looking forward to that weekend away.

squishy…………I posted this before and I am sure it still applies. Season five is gradually going by the wayside even if it doesn’t seem so. When and if season 6 becomes exciting enough, it will bury season 5 to a couple of posts, or headlines posted by LisaB.

I have no problem not talking about Season 5 if everybody else stops. However, I don’t see that happening cuz there are Taylor pics, Elliott’s/Bucky’s/Ace’s/Paris’ albums coming out, Chris’ stuff, etc.

Interjecting a diff. subject..Have a tech question
How can I capture…take a video off of YouTube and keep it on my computer in MyVideos? So don’t have to go to YouTube to see it. OK Ive read something about firefox having a tool, but others say it doesnt work, and something about downloading a player for the file type…but am confused. OK, if I have a player or “whatever” exactly “how” does one actually perform this procedure? stepbystep in dummy language. (Of course can keep the link to the video I want, but then after its no longer on YouTube I can’t see it anymore.) I need “Taking YouTube Vids For Dummies” step a, step b etc. And is this legal?
There’s a season 6 of American Idol? When did this happen? I knew when 4 ended, because season 5 brought us a very talented group of contestants. So, I ask again, when did a season 6 begin?

If you’re using Firefox, you can download the VideoDownloader extension. Once that is installed, when you load a page at Youtube, a small icon will appear on the far right of your browser’s status bar. When you click the icon, another window will open, providing you with further directions and prompting you to download the video. The video format is .flv, and you’ll need a program such as the VLC Media Player to view the file.
