The Glee panel took place this afternoon at the big Comic Con convention in San Diego, which is going on all weekend.
Executive Producer Ryan Murphy spilled a few spoilers for Season 2 that you may not have heard yet.
Glee returns to FOX on Tuesday, September 21.

- The show picks up with the kids reviewing their summers, the Gleeks face even bigger rejection after finishing in 3rd place at regionals, the theme of the new season is “do you have what it takes to win.” Can they climb up from their embarrassment?
- Glee will do a Rocky Horror Picture Show episode
- There will be some girl on girl action between the characters played by Naya Rivera & Heather Morris. (Santana/Brittany). “We make out all the time, ” said one.
- Ryan Murphy says they’re writing an episode that has Tina has falling out of love with Artie and in love Mike. Eep! (We’ll see more of Mike Chang this season!)
- Idina Menzel and Kristin Chenoweth will be back in Season 2
- Also coming up: An episode about religion: Kurt will go to church with Mercedes. Apparently, even the cast hadn’t heard that. That show will feature a song from Yentl and REM’s “Losing My Religion”
- We’ll see more of the home lives of the cast this season.
- At some point, there will be another Madonna episode.
- Because Matt Morrison said he “didn’t want to do Britney” the whole episode will be Schue saying he doesn’t want kids to sing Britney.
- The Britney Spears episode will be called “”Britney/Brittany” and will feature lots of Heather Morris (she says she CAN sing). It airs in September.
- Cast is receiving the Britney episode tomorrow. Murphy says they are doing it in a weird “hallucinogenic” way.
- The episodes won’t necessarily have up to 8 songs like at the end of Season 1. The average will be 6, one has only 4 songs.
