Two peeps going from NYC are from my town: Tom Marchetto and Marisa Rhodes, so I’ve got some people to root for!

Tom Lowe does have a good voice. It will be interesting to see if Americans, as a whole, are willing to vote for a Brit over an American
for the title of “American Idol”. (I think it’s pretty safe to assume he’ll get to the voting rounds).

Tom Lowe’s audition was featured in the UK showing.

We are getting a different edit.

Tom Lowe was one who interested me. A few years ago, I might have resented a Brit in this competition, but the whole thing has changed so much, I think it would be cool for him to win. (Although it would make Simon happy, so maybe not. I am all about whatever displeases Simon these days).

I am still bummed over the lively round, mound of sound, Nakia, not making it through. She was so darn much fun. She would have injected a lot of smiles into the performances, had she made it that far.

Watch this audition of Sarah Burgess again :

    http://youtube.com/watch?v=yZIE6YEI95w

This is the girl who didn’t go to School or to her friend’s house as she told her dad but to American Idol in New York.

She said her dad was not supportive of her desire to be a singer and this is all she ever wanted.

    1) She has a good voice, but Blondie isn’t something you can really highlight. You can only milk this so far…

    2) Her dad’s reaction to this sounds a little unreal to me. And a whole segment of the conversation was CUT.

    3) Sarah, according to the blurbs is 19 years old. She’s legally an adult. She is Fantasia and Kellie Pickler’s age when they auditioned.

Wonder what “school” she’s in — still in high school ? in college ? Community College ?

    4) I can see with some make-over she can give Kat Mcphee a run for her money in the looks department.

Sarah is Kat II, or CLB (tm rsf).

and she allegedly just posted a comment on her youtube video. can AI contestants do that?

No. Safe to say she didn’t make the cut if true.

I don’t see Porcelana in the group of NY people. Is she missing, or am I just overlooking her?

Too bad they cut the Memphis show. There were some awsome auditions
of the ones that made it to Hollywood.
Guess we’ll have to wait for Hollywood week
Keep an eye on a girl from CO.
