Happy Bucky Covington Day!

And the Season 5 albums just keep on dropping…

It’s Bucky Covington’s turn. His debut CD drops today.  Listen to a preview of the album here

Bucky’s debut effort is full of classic country tunes, some with a rock edge and is well-produced by Sawyer Brown’s Mark Miller and Dave Oliver.

Just as I expected, Bucky’s gravelly voice records beautifully–so even if you aren’t particularly a Bucky fan, I recommend checking out the record.  His single “A Different World” is currently #25 on the Billboard country singles chart.  He also co-penned one of the tunes, “Carolina Blue.”

Bucky has some television appearances coming up–including Jimmy Kimmel Live on Thursday.

I can’t explain it as I really don’t like country music, but there is something about bucky I like. I’ve heard the CD - there are a lot of pretty good songs on there. Of course that one where he says “I’m diesel fuel & she’s holy water” is just ridiculous, but hey. I like the country rock feel for him better than straight country. I hope he’s successful. I’m going to get the CD for my sister who loved the link I sent her.

Bucky is by far one of the most universally well-liked Idols from any season. He was wonderful on the AI tour and I wish him great success with his CD. I really like a lot of the songs on it.

A Bucky-Kellie tour? I might just go to something like that if they put it together. They have fun chemistry together.

Have to say- was not a big fan of bucky’s voice on the show even though I love country. However I listened to the cd and it was pretty good. He seems to be doing well for himself, which is great, He always seemed like a good guy. I’m thinking I am probaly going to buy his cd.

Bucky should have been the Big Phat Sexy Hair guy:) His hair is way purtier than Kat’s and it’s real.

Yee Haw! Bucky Day has finally arrived! I’ll post my own personal review of Bucky’s CD later today, but as MJ’s # 1 Bucky fan I just have to say that I am very pleased with how the CD turned out. I downloaded it on iTunes last night and listened to it on the iPod this morning on the subway. Now I am running to Virgin to get a hard copy.

Hey Dingo, I am saving you a seat on Bucky’s bus. Miss you.

Just wanted to thank you for letting me know about “Music on Demand”. I ordered the CD today. I LOVE this CD. I am NOT a Country music lover.. I would even say ” I can’t stand Country Music”. But this CD is AMAZING. I just love it. The Lyrics, the BEAT and hearing Bucky’s Personality ( which is distinctive) is a real thrill. JUST CANNOT STAND waiting to have this CD in my hands…… I forgot how adorable Bucky is..

Just wanted to put in my best wishes for Bucky. Last summer on the Idol tour, Bucky always had a big, friendly smile for everyone. I appreciated how out-going he was. That attitude cemented by good feelings towards him. I’m not a big country fan but I’ll buy his CD! Good luck, Bucky!
