Paris Bennett’s debut CD, “Princess P” drops today.
The CD features guest spots by her mom, Jamecia Bennett, and her grandmother, Ann Nesby on the tune, “Best Friends.” Kevin Covais raps on the song, “Can I Rap.”
The album, includes production from Darrin Lighty, DJ SES and Jon Jon Traxx (Beyonce’s “Deja Vu”), who produced the first single, “Ordinary Love.” “Boyfriend Back,” which has been getting some spins on Radio Disney, may be her follow-up single.
The album is being released on Twin Cities-based indie 306 Entertainment and distributed by TVT Records, home to rap star Lil’ Jon and hip Scottish rockers the Cinematics.

Paris, Paris, Paris….. the answer to that question should’ve been No.
Pretty photo of her.
Well, she does look pretty in that photo. That’s the best I can say about this. That Ordinary Love song is awful. And, Kevin Covais rapping? No, no, just no.
Finally, a Season 5 contestant’s CD that I do not even feel remotely compelled to buy. So, thanks for saving me some money Paris.
Don’t waste your dough. I saw her in a mini-concert a few months ago and she was absolutely horrible. It was a total waste of $40 a ticket!!!
Wow, season 5 really aged people! Kellie looks 40 and now Paris looks like she could be 30!
I’ve got the CDs from Chris and from Elliott. Not planning to buy this one.
Probably no Idol CD purchases til November when I buy Carrie’s new one.
She was one of my least favorite Idols from season 5 (& very possibly of all time). I don’t see this CD topping the charts any time soon.
Little Miss Paris made a boo boo when she said that Idol was a joke. Even if it isn’t true, it’s out there. Idol fans are quite sensitive about their show. I wonder how this will translate in sales for her.
She needs to learn to filter her remarks. She’s very new to the business. Be a little humble, Princess.
We now have one review of Paris Bennett’s album

Princess P”
From Mark Edward Nero,
Your Guide to R & B.
Youthful Freshness
Guide Rating - 3 out of 5 stars
Back when Paris Bennett appeared as a precocious teenager on the fifth season of American Idol in 2006, two things were pretty clear: one, that she had a tremendous amount of potential; and second, that she hadn’t quite managed to harness her talent yet. Well, Paris is back with her debut album, Princess P, and she’s managed to rapidly grow as an artist in the year since she was on Idol. Although still a teenager, Paris displays a vocal maturity and poise way beyond her age, yet still manages to maintain a youthful freshness.

Paris is the real deal. All hail the princess

She also needs to learn how to be polite to fans. She had a meet and greet for anyone interested and was a complete bytch. Alot of kids came out to see her on a very snowy night and she could have been more gracious.
Spenser, you must have missed this, Kevin doing “Baby Got Back”:

That picture is sooooo PRETTY! (and I never thought Paris was very attractive - airbrushing doing its magic)
I listened to several of the clips, and I just don’t like them. I liked Paris on the show - “Midnight Train to Georgia” especially - but can’t justify buying this album. Do wish her luck with it. My cd purchases for AI5 are limited to Taylor, Kellie, Elliott & Bucky - and probably Ace when his comes out. They guys have it! :)
The only reason y’all buy Chris and Elliot CD’s but not Paris CD’s is because they are white and she is black. So racist. If Paris were white she would have won the competition last year.
I don’t think so. I plan to buy Melinda’s and Jordin’s CDs as soon as they are released.
