I suddenly have this urge to “put my blue jeans back on”….

The song is not bad, a little melodramatic, but the guy seems pretty cool. Still not better than “Bad Day” though–which was perfect. Unca Nigel should just pony up and re-acquire the rights to Bad Day.

Yeah, I have to say, nothing will be better than Bad Day…. it was alright.

Just in case anyone has a little extra time this morning, the link to hear the new “Go Home!” song has another link to “Your favorite 13 auditions” and “12 best auditions”. There is some really great stuff there:

    Sean Michel
    Briana Davis
    Jennifer Todd
    Scott Savol
    Frenchie Davis
    Bailey Brown
    Carrie U.

I know everyone hates Scott Savol, but I still say his AI Audition was one of the top 5 of the whole series.

I noticed that they specifically said that this is the exit song for Hollywood week. Maybe there will be a different song for the rest of the show? I like the song. It’s ok. His voice actually kind of reminds me of little d’s voice only not quite as strong.

Cute guy. OK song. Sort of in the vein of D’s “Home”(meaning, to me, boring).

I agree. Best send home song of all was “Bad Day.” Too bad they just didn’t (or couldn’t) make it a permanent part of Idol.

It doesn’t seem to really fit as an exit song. Not a bad song, just not the right one.

t2, where is the link to those auditions? I don’t seem to be able to find it.

I really like this singer Ferras and am going to find some more of his music. The song was good but I have to agree that *Bad Day* was terrific! I think it is way more *catchy* but this song is ok! ( He sure was able to put that song out there in the make-shift place….*EW cubicles* to sing and play!) Pix

Actually, I remembered that it was posted before, I just could not remember when. I probably should have posted the link out front back then, when it was really news, but it fell through the cracks.

However, there hasn’t been any buzz about this at all. EW is the first mag to post anything about it. Not even MTV has mentioned it, I don’t think, and that would be a logical place for a story.

Neonorange–thanks a lot for the original link, I really appreciate it! :).

    Jbrad, try this:

I think it must have been one of those “floating” things.

I hope that the song will catch on. It will probably grow on people. I had not heard of Ferras. This could be his big break.

I know everyone hates Scott Savol

Not me. I guess I’m the only one here who voted for Scott. *hides*

Booo… Kelly Clarkson’s ex’s song would have been a better choice, I think. Blue Jeans?? Seriously? Plus it’s gender specific… BYE BYE GIRLS!

I like the song but not as an exit song. “Bad Day” should be the official so long song.

Thanks MJ - ya didn’t need to give me any cred. It was old news when I posted it too. The guy announced it on his Myspace back on 1/14.

The song is okay but like “Home” it’s too serious for AI. I loved “Bad Day” because it was light and cheesy. There wasn’t all this is the end of the world carp. Come-on “So long, put your blue jeans back on girl, go home”. I know there seems to be quite a few queens (not that there’s anything wrong with it) this year, but I think even they wouldn’t appreciate being told to put their jeans back on girl. And last year’s, “I’m going to the place where love and feeling good don’t ever cost a thing (side note: Taylor needs to find this place what with all he has to pay for dates and covering them up and all). And the pain you feel’s a different kind of pain.” (Whoah, AI goes emo, LOL.)

I think that the problem with last year was that AI tried to take themselves too seriously - Idol gives back and all the music guests. They need to get back to their cheesy roots. Hopefully this year they can embrace the cheese.

I actually really like this guy and the song is great!!! Beautiful voice for sure - agree the “girl” part doesn’t fit as the exit song but nothing can ever top “Bad Day”.

    Thanks for the link, t2

His myspace only says the 2 days so it may be only for Hollywood week which makes sense given the name. It’s not a bad song but not really the best choice for the exit song imo.

I love that Ferras song, it’s awesome!
