    Nope. That was last year…

Katharine’s supposed to be singing in the first football game Thursday (the anthem, I mean). She said it in her myspace bulletin:

Hi everyone. Hope all is well. Thanksgiving is one week away and I love that holiday. I am actually singing the National Anthem at the Green Bay/Detroit game for the NFL on FOX that morning. If you’re up and want to take a break from the Macy’s day parade, click over.
On more serious news…unfortunately due to some inappropriate language and behavior on the forums on my website, RCA is going to shut them down. Also sometime next week, they will close KatharineMcPhee.com and we will go under construction again. I apologize for everyone that uses these daily but this seems like the best option at the moment. You can still get information here at MySpace and look forward to a brand new site in the coming weeks.
    Have a great day.

Wow - Chris Daughtry is having a grat night! Congratulations!

On a different note, what’s the deal with Katharine’s websites????

  10. 10 Cherokee Nov 18th, 2007 at 9:25 pm

Daughtry wins again! “Best Adult Contemporary Artist”. Woo hoo! Also, Carrie wins “Best Female Artist.” A great night for former Idol contestants so far!

I wonder how Chris D would’ve fared against The Jonas Brothers? Did you guys see them? I took my daughter to see them over a month ago and my ears are still ringing! It was unbelieveable - all those screaming girls!

Allowing the AMAs to be determined by audience vote is asking them to hand all their awards over to idol contestants. Because their fans know how to vote. It’s a shame because I think Daughtry and Carrie would have won anyway. I can’t believe the show started with four Idol people in a row.

Pretty much. The AMA’s never meant much to begin with. Now it’s all about which fan base has the best power voters. And yes, that would be the Idol fans, who’ve got the skillz! :)

uh huh, I love you too baby — only after cued.

And, all that enthusiasm!!!! one note Johnny!

  17. 17 Cherokee Nov 18th, 2007 at 9:59 pm

Hehe….Daughtry wins yet AGAIN. This time “Best Pop/Rock Album.” The rest of my comments edited. LOL

I really KNOW that these awards don’t mean much (really, nothing at all), but I’m having a blast watching the awards with my daughter, who SCREAMS everytime she sees or hears Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, the Jonas Brothers, Justin Timberlake, Beyonce, or Queen Latifah. It’s really just an award show for fans.

And before I forget, Carrie won the T-mobile text award for “Best Artist of the Year.” Major props to her!!!!!

Congrats to Daughtry! Wow!Three awards tonight! Impressive.
Congrats to Carrie, that girl is unstoppable. The idols are showing how they also rule in the real world.
    Go idols!

They certainly rule the world of power voting. Is that the real world? Let me guess, who’ll win best country albums? Gee, that’s a tough one. I never thought the AMAs could become a bigger joke than last year, but I think they hit the jackpot this year. I just wish more Idols were nominated in all the categories. Even Taylor would have won a few awards tonight without the SP behind him. God, Clay Aiken would win Album of the Year.

  21. 21 carolina Nov 18th, 2007 at 10:46 pm

Thank God T-mobile voters have some sense.

  22. 22 carolina Nov 18th, 2007 at 10:54 pm

ok, I have a ? - is Mrs. littled in the audience?

and, who’s the guy with the parakeet hair? freak0.

  23. 23 Cherokee Nov 18th, 2007 at 11:10 pm

Deanna was in the audience and was sitting next to Chris during the show.

The “freakO” with the mohawk is Josh Paul. :cool1_tb:

Allowing the AMAs to be determined by audience vote is asking them to hand all their awards over to idol contestants. Because their fans know how to vote.

Fans of other acts can’t figure out how to vote? HSM, Taylor Swift, Timberlake and so on have fans who can get the vote out. Tasia and Jenny lost their noms and are idol faves.

I just wish more Idols were nominated in all the categories. Even Taylor would have won a few awards tonight without the SP behind him. God, Clay Aiken would win Album of the Year.

Well you have to sell a lot of albums and have hit songs the prior year which would disqualify Taylor and Clay among others from garnering a nomination.
