Monday 12/31 (New Years Eve) -  Carrie Underwood performs on New Years Rockin’ Eve co-hosted by Ryan Seacrest. ABC 10 pm. Blake Lewis and Jordin Sparks perform on New Years Eve Live on the FOX network. 11-12:30.
Tuesday 1/01 – Phil Stacey sings the National Anthem before the Gator Bowl featuring Virginia vs Texas Tech. 1 pm EST CBS.
Thursday 1/03 – Katharine McPhee sings the National Anthem before the Orange Bowl football game between Virginia Tech and Kansas University in Miami FL. 8 pm EST FOX.
Idols On Tour
Want to spend New Years Eve with an Idol? The country is pretty well covered from the Northeast, to the South to the Midwest and West. Take your pick:
- Chris Sligh will headline the Westerly, RI First Night New Years celebration.
- Phil Stacey is the Grand Marshall for the Hometown Gator Bowl parade. 3 pm. Jacksonville, FL.
- Bucky Covington performs at the Tinley Park Convention Center in Chicago, IL.
- Josh Gracin takes part in the New Years festivities in Artesia, NM.
If you’ve been meaning to head to NYC to see Fantasia in The Color Purple on Broadway–just a heads up that your time is running out.  Her last performance as Celie is Sunday, January 6. Get tickets here. Go if you can. She’s amazing in the role.
