For anyone interested-Michael Johns and Carly Smithson are doing a private event tomorrow night, Oct. 7th, at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. We are not sure what the event is for, but it is listed on Michael Johns Online and he has talked about it too. Hopefully we’ll get pictures or videos of this one.
I didn’t see David Cook’s appearance on “Good Morning America’s” Fall Concert series on November 17….is that still on??
It’s a 1,000 a plate black tie affair, so I don’t think there will be many camera wielding American Idol fans in attendance. But you never know.

Do we know if DC is going to be singing LO?
Does David A plan on having appearances in the near future. That worries me. I’d hope they would start setting them up? Your thoughts?
Layla, I think we can be 99.99% sure that David will sing “Light On” on GMA. That might be his first televised performance of the song. Actually, he’ll do 2 songs, so we may get a good idea of what the 2nd single will be. (I think Daughtry had a GMA concert series appearance during his album release week and sang “It’s Not Over” and “Home.”)

I don’t usually pay attention to the GMA concert series– do they usually televise both songs if there is a two-song set, or televise one and put the other online (ala the Tonight Show concert)?
I bet you both Davids will have a ton more appearances leading up to their record releases, and it’s just a matter of confirming them before the labels announce anything. I’m just basing it on the fact that I pretty much saw Kellie Pickler and J-Hud all over my tube these past few weeks. I don’t know if Kellie released her single before the album dropped (if so, I didn’t notice), but at least for J-Hud, even though Spotlight was released a little while ago, they didn’t ramp up the media appearances and performances until the actual album release was imminent. At least that was my impression.
GMA releases their concert schedule early so I think that’s why it’s the only promo appearance we know about. Archie could even still be added since they sometimes add people later on.
Yep Daughtry did INO and Home, and I was there! I’m still debating if I want to go to Cookie’s show because it was rough. That studio is tiny and you have to stand up. It’s very uncomfortable. I have no doubt DC will do LO.

Geez, I guess I’m gonna have to get TiVO or DVR or some such gadget now…because of COOK, the usual reason for my discretionary income becoming disappearing income of late. Sigh.
Does anyone know what happened to the supposed Entertainment Tonight appearance for Cook?
I heard that was bumped off because of the Paul Newman coverage.
They did the exact same thing to Archie when they were supposed to show footage from the Crush video production. It was bumped off for an event involving Donny and Marie. They did show it eventually, two weeks or so later.

mj – I think you’re confusing two events here. The black tie affair to which you orefer (Life changing Lives) occurred on Sept. 24th in Orange Count, CA. The appearance that amy123 referred to was a different appearance by Michael and Carly in Vegas at the Mandalay Bay hotel. I read one blog that said the appearance was related to a Car Show going on there that week, but I haven’t confirmed that.
