Idol Bits and Pieces: Allison Iraheta Tour Spoilers, This Week’s TV Appearances and Kris Allen in VA!
Allison Iraheta just finished a chat over at Comcast.net today, and she dropped a few clues about what she’ll be singing on tour:

Don’t know what the Pink song is, but she’ll be singing “Barracuda” by Heart and “Cry Baby” by Janis Joplin. Plus, she and Adam Lambert will reprise their “Slow Ride” duet.
Also, she and Adam have been talking about working together in the future, and she describes her upcoming album as Pop/Rock with a little “twist.” Kara DioGuardi is lining up some songs for her.

It’ll be an Idol extravaganza on August 7 when David Cook, Adam Lambert and Kris Allen all appear on the Good Morning America Summer concert series on the same day. That should attract quite an interesting crowd!

hey-so i’ve been lurking at this site for awhile, but i needed to post b/c i asked the bolded question! and i thought it was cool that you used my question in here!
ahh, i so hope Allison and Adam do collaborate b/c they were my favorites this season and sounded great together on Slow Ride!

The timing is posible — LA on Saturday for 5 hour session; DC on Sunday for the last day of DC Pride. BUT if Adam was at DC Pride, it would have made headlines. Not just one tweet from a guy from Richmond with a blog who hasn’t even blogged about it.
I Know! Man, I though she would never wake up. I wonder who finally broke the news to her and convinced her it was a bad idea (outside the studio – studio is great).
It was interesting to read in Matt’s chat that he is probably closest with Danny out of all the other AI people.
And he says he’s going to be doing new songs on tour as well. This seems to be a pattern!

I don’t know if all of these have been linked to here at mjs, but I noticed that a few of the missing tracks from Kris Allen’s Brand New Shoes have made their way to the Internets.

I had never heard tracks 7 (“Lovely”) or 10 (“Real World”) before. It’s nice to finally have all 11 tracks and to be able to listen to them in order. “Lovely” truly is lovely.
I have to say, I have an iPod loaded with singer-songwriters, both male and female, young and old, and Kris really holds his own with most of them.

David Cook is on Larry King Live right now for those fans who might have missed this. He is talking about Adam and Permanent.
Kris is musical, no doubt, but he’s only been playing the piano for a year and a half. I’m seriously doubting he’s going to be playing the piano with Scott and Matt, both of whom are pianists firsts.
Although, the possibility of Kris on guitar with Matt on piano and someone else doing something else is still out there.
Shari: did Larry ask Cook if David Archuleta is gay again? Anyone else remember that? LOL.
Most of David Cook’s interview on Larry King Live dealt with his brother’s death and how David was coping. It seemed hard for David to talk about about — which isn’t surprising, considering his brother died so recently. David also talked a little bit about Kris & Adam, whether post-Idol fame has been different from what he expected and about his relationship with Archie. I was a little surprised to hear he isn’t protective of Archie — even joking it should be the other way around.
David C comes off as a very nice, classy guy.
I just remember last year when Larry asked about the Archuleta being gay…I almost spit out my drink!
I’m glad I decided to go to the tour for the first time this year. It sounds like it will be great. I’m glad they aren’t doing many group numbers. I would much rather see more individual and small group numbers.
Well I got from this chat that Matt definitely does NOT have any record deal in the works.
Aww. I am a bit sad about that. I think he has potential. I was hoping someone was interested.
He is such a nice guy. I hope something comes up in the future for him. He deserves it so much.
I just went back and read the Anoop chat because I think he’s so articulate and always has something interesting to say. When someone asked him who he’d most like to collaborate with from Season 8, he gave this response:

Seriously, if he was in DC last weekend, I would die! I had friends actually going to the parade (RuPaul was performing on Friday :wink_wp:) But yeah, I do tend to agree that we would have heard more about it in the DC area if he was there, and I heard nothing.
So okay, I just saw this on youtube…it’s some of the AI8 contestants’ supposed “signature” dance moves. Can we see some of these on tour, please! LOL!

Hmm. That is an interesting quote, because I can’t think of too much they’d be doing together if it wasn’t a duet, unless he just means a trio or some other kind of group number, but he seems to remain pretty hush-hush about it.
