What Charice lacks really is VOCAL SUBTLETY. She tends to depend on vocal bombast to impress the audience.

Doing is a duet is really going to be different and I hope she has matured enough to tone it down.

Ade is hot what are you talking about? LOL. I was so crushed he didn’t make it into the finale. Although I didn’t vote once…but still, boo.

I think its because that style of singing is what got her the attention in the first place. But I do believe she’s fully capable of subtlety, maybe she just doesn’t choose to showcase it often.

Indeed. And I think DA and Charice are going to make one heck of a duet together. Some people are just born with special talent and ability and appear almost destined to rise to stardom. (Hopefully I haven’t overstated, lol)

Interesting about the Carrie collaboraters. She probably wants songs for Top 40 and Country

    Raining in Gokeyland
By Kathy Flanigan of the Journal Sentinel
    Aug. 27, 2009 2:03 p.m.

When American Idol winner Kris Allen tweets, everybody reads. The gazillion responses are the electronic equivalent of screaming.

All it took was the simple statement “Rainy day in gokeyland” as the idol and his tour mates, among them hometown guy Danny Gokey, contemplated what to do in rainy Milwaukee. The Season 8 American Idols perform at the Bradley Center tomorrow night.

Here’s the best of the return tweets so far, from someone asking about Milwaukee: “Is it just a huge theme park where you try on glasses?”

Have you got anything better? Just asking.

  • Re: David-Charice – I was coming in to say that “ooohh…some Pinoy Archie fans aren’t going to like that!” and then I see FB saying this…

Eyuuuuck Charice, I’m a Filipina myself but I’m not a fan of hers. I hope she doesn’t try to outsing David, she has a bigger vocal range but David has the better voice quality IMO.

    LOL (Hello, fearbear! :D )

Initially, I didn’t think Archie and Charice were a good match, either, but since I happen to like Charice (her voice once made me pay attention to the TV when she was still competing in a local kids’ singing competition and I have seen her live in concert a couple of times; she can be subtle, and she sounds lovely then), I am willing to give this duet a chance. :p

(I’m not too fond of the Michael Castro, either.)
