‘Glee’ not going legit
Reports of a stage licensing deal for Fox skein “Glee” are incorrect.
News that tuner licensing company Music Theater Intl. was in discussions to create a legit version of the buzzed-about show initially surface online, and were confirmed by MTI. But a rep for Fox said no talks had taken place with MTI or any other legit licensing company.

Lady Gaga Concert — As Fake As Her Hair
A hair care launch party where Lady Gaga and Adam Lambert were supposedly performing next month has just been canceled … not surprising since reps for both artists told TMZ it was all a sham.
The concert was being promoted by guy a in Martinsburg, West Virginia … who told TMZ earlier in the week that tickets for the private event were going for $100 – $200 … an event Lambert’s agent told us was “not legit” and Gaga’s manager said was “completely false.”
Refunds will be available Tuesday. Whoops.

I remember here on this site, all of the Kris fans talking about his promos and concert in Singapore. That’s the reason why I thought, he should be doing some promos in Canada. If they like him in Singapore, I know he would find a audience who would love him in Canada. It seems really silly not to promote him in Canada.

I am sure that jive will send Kris to promote his music wherever it makes sense. Maybe something is set up that we don’t know about. Or maybe they view him principally as a US artist and if he gets sales abroad that is just icing on the cake but they do not intend to make a big international push. Who knows? I always assume the professional know what they are doing
Yeah, I seem to recall that Kris’s Singapore gig was sold out. I think that the review of his show mentioned that. Oh wells, I remain too lazy to look it up.
I would agree that I think Kris can do well in Canada and some promotion would do him in good stead. However it seems that he’s doing some actual gigs in the US (when weather doesn’t cancel them) so there is the issue of timing. But it’s Canada, not like it’s that far away or hard to get to. And given that it’s no longer winter, Kris won’t even have to break out his snow shoes or worry about staying in those igloos that Canadians live in.
They started playing WWFM on the radio in Sweden this week and the song is already #21 on Swedish itunes. Seems to connect well with the melancholic Swedes… It’s in the top10 in Denmark and Finland… only Norway is a bit reluctant, I think it’s in top30 there.

I don’t know if promo in Canada would be cost effective or not for Kris. Before Adam’s promo trip to Canada, his album and two singles (and two videos) were doing very well. Kris’ album, single, and video aren’t burning up the charts or selling very well. It just may not make sense to spend time and money doing promotion there.
Is Allenation still Kris’ largest fanpage? Or is it KA’s official webpage? Or IDF?
I’m by no means a Kris fan.. but I’ll just add a “yet” to that comment. I’ve pretty much stopped trying to predict what songs do well where and why. If “According to You” can chart that high then ANYTHING is possible.

I’m the exact opposite girlygirl as I live in Cedar Falls, Ia, home of UNI the team that just beat Kansas and we are dazed but thrilled. I can feel for the jay-hawks tho as this was a game they were supposed to win. It’s tough. but just like on AI things don’t always go the way expected.(ask any Clay, Daughtry or Adam fan). I hope you can get by with just chocolate.

He had nothing to do with what his friend said. He’s a nice guy as mostly everybody knows. Seems like hardly a week goes by without someone trying to pin something on the poor guy that of course never sticks, because he’s not a bad person.
Aren’t you a reflection of what your friends are? I have to admit since I found Adam I am a lot less tolerant of prejudice especially homophobia. Maybe Kris needs to start standing up and admonishing his friends that are vocally homophobic. He looked a bit uncomfortable but he wasn’t stopping the remarks.
i dont even think his friend is homophobic; he appears to me to have this twisted sense of humor that requires the use of shocking material. I think that if he was really homophobic he wouldn’t humor anything about this. Anyway he already apologized for being insensitive.

And Charles is clearly a moron, using the n word? and his “gay hat”? yeah, whatever, loser. But Kris isn’t responsible for all of his friends in everything they say. No one is! The only thing he can do is denounce it if he’s heard about it. Though I will say, I don’t know if staying friends with someone who feels comfortable using the n word and stuff like this, would be something I would feel comfortable with.

No! Im really upset right now. I know some people will say “oh kris didn’t say it” but the thought of an artist i previously supported being so close to someone so hateful is really upsetting.

Did you see the pics of Kris in Haiti? Does he look like somebody who’s prejudiced? He’s been a missionary in Africa and Asia. One of the guys in his wedding party, one of his best friends from home, is African American (probably he’s one of Charles’s best friends, too). One of Kris’s band (guys he chose himself) is Hispanic. One of his best friends from Idol (Adam) is gay, though some people persist in some kind of irrational belief that Kris has some hidden anti-gay agenda.

I agree! The guy felt too comfortable making a video and saying what he said with Kris right there. If he knew Kris had a problem with it, I don’t see him doing it right in front of Kris. Really telling. Yeah, he knocked the camera away but we are not sure why like it was mentioned earlier.
I remember when the “Swastika ” issue came up with Adam. He was a jew but it was discussed for pages and pages without giving him the benefit of the doubt. This is a similar situation. I objected but MJ said it was open for discussion.

I understand you being upset, because at the very least Charles is an idiot who doesn’t understand that he can’t go around using the N word or calling things “gay” — even in a joking manner. At worst, he’s a racist and a homophobe. My feeling is that he’s more the former than the latter, but who knows.
But Kris is clearly neither of these things and really shouldn’t be held responsible for his friend’s actions. Kris voted for Obama — which he wouldn’t do if he was a racist, now would he? And he’s clearly not homophobic. Why punish him for having an idiot friend?
Especially since we have no idea what Kris has or hasn’t said to Charles about all of this. It’s clear that Kris is NOT happy in this video — he hits the camera and he even says “I’m outta here” at the tail end of the video. But he clearly wasn’t going to call Charles out on video — and even if he had, Charles wouldn’t have posted that.
Adam’s friends have posted inappropriate things on twitter as well. No one should blame Adam for what his friends do or say, and no one should blame Kris for what his friends do or say. These people are adults, and Adam and Kris aren’t their parents — they don’t have any way to control their thoughts or actions.
Hopefully Kris will think about distancing himself a little bit from Charles. But it can’t be easy to disassociate himself from people who are longtime friends who supported him when he was struggling to make a living, just because he’s a public figure now.
Too many of you are far too quick to judge Kris when you have no idea what happened. I’m sorry — all you are perfect and have perfect friends who never say or do anything stupid or inappropriate? That’s amazing — how is that possible?
Don’t get me wrong — I’m not defending Charles. He’s an idiot and he deserves all the backlash. Kris has already shown many times that he isn’t homophobic — yet some people here seem to think that that’s not enough. What exactly did you want him to do?
Also, who says that Charles is Kris’s best friend? I’ve never seen or heard Kris refer to him that way. Kris has a lot of friends — and refers to Katy — not Charles — as his best friend.

How do we know this? The video was like 20 seconds long. How do we know what Kris said or didn’t say after recording stopped?
