Lee DeWyze fails to make iTunes Top 10

SoundScan data is still a day away, but iTunes has released its Top 10 list of best-selling tracks for the week ending May 31 — and this year’s Idols aren’t on it.

Last year, Kris Allen and Adam Lambert held three of the 10 top spots at SoundScan the week after the finale. But neither Lee DeWyze nor Crystal Bowersox made this week’s list from American Idol’s downloads partner.

Crystal Bowersox ‘Predicted’ Lee DeWyze Would Win ‘American Idol’

There was a rather common misconception that, during her time on “American Idol, ” dreadlocked dynamo Crystal Bowersox didn’t actually care about winning the show at all. So it seemed oddly fitting to many that she ended up finishing second, behind champ Lee DeWyze. But while Bowersox is fine with her runner-up status, she wants to make one thing abundantly clear: She always wanted to come out on top.

Fantasia Workin’ Up A Black Sweat

While the rest of us were drinking, cooking out, and performing the electric slide with Auntie ‘Nesha for the 34th time this weekend, some people had to work. One of those select few was Fantasia Barrino.

Pictured above in ALL BLACK EVERYTHING, our favorite American Idol winner took her screaming roadshow to the BVI Music Festival that concluded yesterday. By the time her concert ended, her fans got one hell of a show, so much, Fanny was dripping in sweat. Although I will not throw shade at her work ethic, she should want to wipe herself down during the show.

Lambert more than an ‘Idol’

There probably will be those that question whether “For Your Entertainment, ” the debut album from “American Idol” sensation Adam Lambert, is more of a product of the all-star cast of producers and co-writers who worked on the CD than Lambert himself. Several of the very hottest behind-the-scenes talents were involved in the CD, including producers/songwriters Max Martin, Greg Wells, Dr. Luke, Linda Perry and Claude Kelly, and as songwriters, some notable names as well, including Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and Justin Hawkins of Wolfmother.

Simon Cowell’s AI Spill: Time to “Top Kill” American Idol

I’m sorry, I’m a little upset. After watching Rachel Maddow’s reporting on the BP spill, I think I need one of those “Top Hats” to stop my reignited fury at G.W. Bush and his oily-garchy, and how the slick — I mean the “legacy” — he left behind still manages to fuck the Gulf Coast long after his retirement. (I also need it to stop me from making “Junk Shot” jokes…)

But instead, I’ll do what Rachel says BP should be doing. I’ll drill a relief well to channel my bile in a different direction…

‘Glee’: Jessalyn Gilsig on Terri’s friendship with Finn and her upcoming musical number with him and Puck

It’s been some time since we’ve seen good old Terri Schuester, but on this Tuesday’s (June 1) “Glee, ” Will’s former wife returns.

“She’s pretty despondent over the loss of her marriage and you’re going to see a more vulnerable side, ” Jessalyn Gilsig tells Korbi TV.

Don’t worry though, Terri hasn’t changed too much. “I’m really mean to Howard [Bamboo] still, so there’s always a little mean that comes out. There’s some people she can’t give up abusing.”

Dream House Party With…The Season 9 American Idols

This past “American Idol” season, Reality Rocks visited the “If I Can Dream” house every Friday to have dinner with that week’s eliminated “Idol” contestant. It was an “Idol dream date” of sorts. But the most recent dish session was the dreamiest, when all of the Season 9 “Idol” finalists (except for Crystal Bowersox, who sadly wasn’t feeling well) visited the Dream House for a big post-“Idol” finale party. Freed from the pressures of performing for Simon Cowell’s approval and America’s votes, and already looking forward to this summer’s Idols Live Tour, the nine Idols were soon picking up random guitars and bongos and gathering ’round the piano for some fun, freeform jam sessions. And interestingly, many of them sounded better than they ever did on the show!
