Anoop: I think he whines a lot. He’s like, ’show me how to do this.’  I’m like, ‘Matt. You turn it on. What do I need to show you?’  He’s like’“ [exasperated sigh].

Matt: It’s funny that his biggest pet peeve is that, because that’s exactly what he does. It’s like yesterday, we were told we had to get up at six in the morning today. He’s like, ‘I hate everything.’  (laughs) And the thing is, he’ll whine just as much. But if I whine at all, he will tell me I’m being a baby. He’s the same way!

These guys are so sweet and funny. Love that they were paired together on press day. And this is a great approach to interviews. Who knew there could be new Q&A after all these months!

Another loss of a major entertainment icon- July is not starting off well. RIP Mr. Malden.

I remember him from the movie “Pollyanna” and the “Streets of San Francisco” series with Michael Douglas. A great actor, indeed.

There’s a new ‘Behind the Scenes During Tour Rehearsals’  video on Kris Allen’s iTunes pass now available. He’s rehearsing ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ 

So we know Kris is singing Ain’t No Sunshine, Hey Jude, Heartless, and No Boundaries. That leaves 1 more song.

I think Scott is the 3rd Idol to have pre-idol work sold on itunes.

I like Anoop’s candor, look forward to Megan’s suptertight outfit, Lil’s dance number and Alli’s rocking the roof.

Michael will open the show? Danny will continue trying to inspire people and Scott will sing rock (?) and get everyone singing…

Kris said he had nothing to do until his set and the final group number. I guess he (and maybe Adam) won’t be in the mini group number. Wondering how many people won’t be there until the second part of the concert.

Okay, that sounds hella corny. heh. anyways, i did buy his first album, but I doubt I’ll be buying this. His personality is kind of a turn off.

Sunn, I don’t know if you’re familiar with the Associated Press, but it’s a reliable source of news in the U.S., which many other news outlets rely upon for information. So no, they don’t deal in rumor or speculation. Also, if you click on MJ’s link you will find a video interview with the nutritionist. She explains that Michael was asking her to find an anesthesiologist to administer the medication, not that he wanted her to do it.

I’m very familiar with AP, I’m also familiar with their financial bottom line concerns of late, as evidenced by their threat to sue any blogger who over quotes them.
AP by carrying this woman’s words as gospel with out any second source confirmation or even background coverage on her is tantamount to rumour or at least crappy journalism. After all it’s one thing to quote an official from a government or a public entity without confirmation, but to do it with a previously anonymous person claiming a relationship, and whose statements, by their one on one nature, can not be verified is not acceptable journalism. The woman’s credibility must first be verified to the public before her statements are printed.

…I’m not an AI fan – came onboard for Alli after catching the “Alone” fiasco by happenstance. Thus, I have no useful frame of reference for the Idol experience of many performers. My first real brush with Pickler was her CMA (I think) performance of “I Wonder”. The vocals were marginal, but the emotions were too real in this true-to-(her)life tear jerker. Couldn’t help pullin’ for her after that. Subsequently, when I saw a performance, her vocals continued much the same until the CMT VID’s some days back.

At the CMT’s, Kelli’s vocals were really pretty good, better than most of the STARS that had performed before her. I was really impressed with the marked improvement. She was far better than her buddy, Taylor Swift. I’ll continue to pull for her just hoping that she’ll continue to show her DAM mom. I will continue to avoid purchasing her albums until, hopefully, she can hit all the notes. I will continue to appreciate the visual asspects of her work.
