Sarah, I kind of like fugly hat now. It’s grown on me. Perhaps a new operation is in order, though. I actually own a plaid hat I could send him.

I have to wonder why he keeps roughly 295 “uncool” hats.

  2. 52 pj Jul 12th, 2007 at 7:31 pm

Okay, I’ve inspected my collection of hats which I never wear. It didn’t take long. I don’t have 300. I have two submissions. What do y’all think?

    http://thumbsnap.com/v/7Pnn8jLH.jpg

    Too girly?

    And option number two:

    http://thumbsnap.com/v/NuytLdxy.jpg

Sorry they are so blurry. I can’t find my digital and my phone takes carpy pics.

  3. 53 Sarah Jul 12th, 2007 at 7:34 pm

I still don’t like fugly hat. But I do love that we now simply call it “fugly hat.” LOL.

  5. 55 Boulder Soul Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:04 pm

Okay, can you please provide me with a quote where Kat claims she’s not selling sex?

Prove that she has NEVER said that?

  6. 56 radname Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:22 pm

I’m not surprised at any of the choices Katharine is making and the forums for “exposure” (heh) chosen by her PR folks. As mj said, it is not atypical. However, with few exceptions, aspiring actresses who go this route do not have much longevity nor do they end up on Golden Globes, Academy Award, or Tony Awards nominees lists. I am, of course, open to people naming names to refute my opinion.

Salem Hayek ring a bell? Scarlett Johanssen? Halle Berry? No? Maybe Catherine Zeta Jones, Lucy Lu, Penelope Cruz or Angelina Jolie. Perhaps Christina Aguilera, Beyonce, Shakira, Shania Twain, Mariah Carey, Michelle Branch ring a bell, maybe Kirsten Dunst? Or even Michelle Williams.Hell Katherine Heigel and Helena Bonham Carter has posed for Maxim.
I could go on, if you really want me to.

  7. 57 radname Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:23 pm

And to my recollection she did. Rad, I invite you, try to prove me wrong.

I’m not going to post everything Katharine has said to prove you wrong, you just have to post one simple quote. Or you can just admit she’s never said that.

  8. 58 Sarah Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:26 pm

Team Plaid is a fansite. IDF is an American Idol fansite.

  9. 59 Sarah Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:30 pm

Or you can just admit she’s never said that.

Oh she’s said it. Do I want to go find the quote, so the 13 year olds on IDF can call me an old bitty who is a jellus h8r because I don’t think *** hung the moon because she is “soooooo prety!!!111!1!1!!!” and says I sure am obsessed with someone I don’t even like because I spend “so much time researching” her? Um, no thanks.

  10. 60 radname Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:31 pm

A fansite is a site about one particular contestant. IDF is an American Idol fansite.

Well the Katharine thread, is about one particular contestant, so I don’t get why people who don’t like her lurk there.
IDF features music/dancing reality shows (Canadian Idol, American Juniors, So You Think You Can Dance, and Grease are all featured there.)

  11. 61 Boulder Soul Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:31 pm

Rad…it appears to bother you, so go ahead…prove she never said it. You can’t (and yes, I can prove it). But, it is not my responsibility to validate you or your faulty recollections.

    Go for it..prove me wrong.

OK, charcoal is ready and steaks are going on the grill. See you later.

  12. 62 Paula Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:32 pm

And to my recollection she did. Rad, I invite you, try to prove me wrong.

Yes, she did say that, but it was quite some time ago.

  13. 63 radname Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:34 pm

Maybe you didn’t understand, i’m not going to post every interview in print, or audio/visual that Katharine has ever done to prove you wrong.
All YOU have to do is post one simple sentence. That’s it. It is your responsibility to be factual with what you’re saying, and not just say Katharine said something to benefit how you’re trying to portray her.

  14. 64 Sarah Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:34 pm

IDF started as an American Idol fansite (who knows, maybe Canadian Idol too). That is why it’s called IDOLforums.com.

  15. 65 Sarah Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:40 pm

That’s because there IS nothing to prove Boulder wrong. And (just about) everyone knows it.

  16. 66 Sarah Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:42 pm

What i’m wondering is why someone who dislikes her, would spend time there.

I have no idea, since I don’t spend time there myself. I have never lurked nor posted in a *** thread at IDF, or any other fansite for that matter.

  17. 67 Sarah Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:44 pm

If you claim “it’s one sentence,” you obviously know where it is radname. Why don’t YOU just post it? I’m not not going to find it.

  18. 68 RightSaidFred Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:45 pm

I could go on, if you really want me to.

I’d rather you actually read my comment and respond to that (sans sarcasm ). Most of your names don’t apply, others support my opinion.

  19. 69 radname Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:47 pm

Because I don’t believe she’s ever said anything to that degree, therefore it wouldn’t exist?
I don’t think it’ll take a paragraph to explain, I’m sure you could find a quote that is one sentence long to back what Boulder is saying up. But of course no one has shown anything.

  20. 70 radname Jul 12th, 2007 at 8:51 pm

Not everyone who deserves an oscar has won one. I posted a list of successful people, who after appearing in Maxim, have continued to be successful and have the longevity. It’s not a last ditch attempt at anything on Kats part.

  21. 71 pj Jul 12th, 2007 at 9:06 pm

How about posting names of people who posed for Stuff? Kat hasn’t worked her way up to Maxim yet, has she?

  22. 72 mj Jul 12th, 2007 at 9:13 pm

Wow, you wanna know something? I am really really really sick of talking about Kat Mcphee.

  23. 73 pj Jul 12th, 2007 at 9:15 pm

LOL. I don’t care if the kids at IDF think I’m an old “bitty” who spends my time looking up kat stuff. It took me two minutes. I just typed into google the following : mcphee interview sex sell

The following was in the second link.

And like you said with your Shape cover, they’ll even weigh in on that.
I think some fans aren’t familiar with Shape magazine, and think it’s Maxim. It’s very classy. I make jokes, ”If my career’s going downhill, then I’ll do Maxim or FHM!” [Laughs.] But for now, I’d rather stay true to who I am. In high school, I was always the girl who wore classy gowns to prom. I don’t intend to sway from that.

    http://www.ew.com/ew/article/0,,1535436,00.html

Apparently, she must think her career is going downhill.

  24. 74 radname Jul 12th, 2007 at 9:15 pm

A few people that have posed for Stuff include Destinys Child, Sheryl Crow, Pink, Kylie Minogue, Shakira, alot of television show girls like Girls from the OC, Bond Girls, Jennifer Morrison (from House), Charlies Angels
even Amelia Earhart. (don’t ask me how.)

  25. 75 mj Jul 12th, 2007 at 9:16 pm

    CHANGE THE SUBJECT NOW.

  26. 76 Kirsten Jul 12th, 2007 at 9:16 pm

Hmmm….so Lyric Records is checking out Phil. They are making quite an art of poaching male country Idols and doing a good job of promoting them.

Phil would do very well to sign with them.

Lyric Records is a division of Disney which is having lots of musical success these days. It is also Rascal Flatts label.

But if one must wager on who, of McPhee and Hicks, has more potential from here on out, it would be a bit foolish not to pick McPhee. Whether you like her magazine spread or not, she’s been more newsworthy and sought-after of late. Proof: Yesterday, Entertainment Weekly reported that she been tabbed to appear in a movie produced by Adam Sandler.

Someone needs to tell this foolish guy that almost anything associated with AI gets a mention in EW whether they like the Idols or not..Not a good measuring stick for ones career longivity if you ask me..

Once again I will say, I never can figure out why fans give some of these writers the time of day.

Something tells me all the Idols from Season Five will doing what they enjoy doing years from now. Whether it generates publicity or not is left to be seen..
