I know I am in minority on this, but my favorite song (fast tempo) still remains to be SATISFACTION! I never thought anyone could top Mick’s version.

David Cook and Kevin Griffith co-wrote Avalanche.

I really like “Avalanche.” In my opinion, it’s much better than “Come Back to Me.”

^^ This is a very interesting mashup of Kanye’s Heartless and Kris’ version.

It really highlights just how much melody Kris added to this song.

ETA: If Kevin happens to write a song that Adam likes and fits on the album it will be on the album. I don’t think there is anything more to it

Probably true, but I haven’t heard anything in Kevin’s music, that makes me think of Adam.

Avalanche, and Things Will Go My Way are very similar in style. So, I think whatever Kevin Griffin could have brought to Kris’ music, can easily be replaced by Alex Band.

Also, I have a song I wrote with David Cook that will be on his debut album out November 18. The song is called “Avalanche”. You may recall an old song titled “Avalanche” that I would play at shows, but this is a new song. I always loved the title and finally got the song right working with David.

Yeah, I think you hit the nail with this one. I can so see Kris singing it. Too bad he can’t steal it! It would prob be a big hit with him. Alex’ voice irritates me, there’s something about it I don’t like (and I do like growly voices) but Kris would be great on this song.

Regarding Adam picking one of Kevins songs, I think he won’t care whatever the guy has said about him if he submitted a KILLER song, but I don’t see that happening. Ferras songs are probably just as good so why not pick them instead?

I don’t think this guy really gets Adam, I think he has this picture of what Adam is (hence the weird analogues) but he just doesn’t get what Adam is going for.

The alt rock collaborations I would die for would be Muse and KOL.

I don’t think he has a snowball’s chance in Hades of writing something to make Adam’s album. Especially if Adam Googles and finds Kevin’s homophobic (IMO) comments.

He is nothing more than a has-been opportunist, IMO, and I hope that none of his songs make Adam’s album.

Didn’t he submit songs to Kris as well? Hopefully Kris won’t like them, I get the feeling he will choose songs he is more involved with.

This is what I was saying yesterday. He claimed to be writing for Kris as well as Adam, and then couldn’t even describe what Kris’ people were looking for in a song.

Right after Kris won, Kevin Griffin was all over the news, drooling to write for Kris. Then, he found out that 19 and RCA planned to promote Adam internationally, and he couldn’t throw Kris under a bus fast enough.

Very funny. I think I heard that David went out into the lobby and someone took a picture of him with the security guard. However, it would’ve been cool if he had gone up to the balconey. (At the Birchmere he did this same “walkabout” and ended up in the bar outside of the room he was playing, which actually runs live video of their performances as they are happening. For those there, it probably was one of those surreal moments. Is it live or is it memorex?”)

Thanks so much for that wellhesback. First one I’ve seen of DC’s audience walkabout that actually gave a good look at the audience. And was it just me or did that video give a lie to Cook’s supposed overwhelmingly cougar demographic? I saw mostly women and (not an insubstantial number of) men in their 20’s and 30’s.
