Why would anyone get worked up about a Rickroll with Kris’s music to the movie clip instead of Adam’s music? And I guess it’s funny because celebrating living like your dying…while everyone is dying, is funny!

Hmmm. Well hard to tell from that shot, other than it looks like SoCal. But he did say this weekend, so if not today, soon.

IMHO season 8 has A LOT more buzzzz than season7′ ¦.

That’s because you were invested in S8. S7 had plenty of buzz but when the new season starts that buzz starts to fade. Has happened every year and will this one as well when S9 starts.

I know, right? Some of these questions he’s been asked for a year and a half now, and he still manages to act engaged and be engaging. The PR follks at 19M/RCA must be beside themselves.

I like that description, the ‘workhorse Idol’. One of the greatest things about David is his work ethic, and I believe it will take him far.

In what may be the first (and last) time Bob Dylan draws comparisons to David Archuleta, the wizened rock icon and baby-faced “American Idol” winner have Christmas albums with the same release date and almost identical titles. Mr. Dylan’s first holiday album is “Christmas in the Heart,” Mr. Archuleta’s “Christmas From the Heart.” They’ve also selected some of the same carols, including “The First Noà «l” and “O Come All Ye Faithful.”

And hey, how did the Kevin Rudolph and Kris thing work out? Not a partnership that readily makes sense and no Tweets from either side about it, but that’s not terribly atypical of Kris and his typical hush hush style. But I admit to being curious.

And Truthiness, I fricking love Man of Constant Sorrow. And the Everything I Do… song… aww, that was me & my boyfriend’s song in 12th grade. Too bad he turned out to be a jerk. Maybe that’s why I don’t like it anymore…

Adam’s voice very well could elevate that song to another level. I want to hear the whole thing, and we shall see. I have quirky tastes in music anyway. So I never know what the heck I’m going to like!

I never heard that! LOL. Talk about odd bedfellows, at least on the surface, but they both love music.

Re the “cheese” talk, I don’t think that all emotional or passionate songs are cheesy. There’s a time and place for them, and one can be emotional and not cheesy. Cheese comes from over-emoting, or using too many cliches. Not from being emotional/passionate. Just listen to latin music for example. American music has gotten so afraid to be passionate, maybe we’re too jaded?

I’m not into cheesy movie songs, sadly. I wish I could like them but however popular ‘My Heart Would Go On’  and ‘Don’t Want to Miss a Thing’  are/were’ ¦ no likey

Well I didn’t like either of those songs either, but I can like cheese once and a while. Depends on the kind of cheese. I find enough in Adam’s song vocally and right now with the movie clip, instrumentally, to like. Not my favourite movie song or Adam song, by any means for either. But it has enough in it for me to like.

It’s like how I kind of liked Bryan Adam’s Everything I do (I do it for you). Of course I came to loathe it after it was overplayed, but it was okay for me. For me this song is more like that, though I like this more because I like the voice more. But it’s no Kiss From a Rose or I Am A Man Of Constant Sorrow, just two movie songs off the top of my head that I REALLY liked.

Not that I’m a fan of soundtracky Diane Warrenish rock ballads, but at least it would have been nice to get a feel for whether it was radio friendly or not, whether Adam elevated it above the dreck that it was, or . . . something . . . other than that it sounds like a soundtracky Dianne Warrenish rock ballad.
