Idol Headlines for 10/14/08
Simon Cowell’s salary dwarfs Paula Abdul’s
“American Idol” former executive producer Nigel Lythgoe recently revealed that Simon Cowell is earning $36 million a year from the show.
Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s not news that Cowell makes some serious coin à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ heà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s been ranked in Forbes à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ but the approximately $22,000 per minute (according to Lythgoeà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s calculations) that Cowell earns has fellow “Idol” judge Paula Abdul especially angry. Rumors put Abdul’s salary at closer to $5 to $8 million per season.

Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s not attitude. Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m just sassy!
Jennifer Hudson side-stepped the engagement issue but talked freely to Davina Morris about size and sassiness.
FOR reasons unknown to Jennifer Hudson, some people have assumedà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ before meeting herà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ that sheà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s got a bad attitude. Honestly? I was a little concerned myself.
‘Idol’ finalist Phil Stacey to perform benefit for Delivering Dreams
On Saturday, with the help of an “American Idol” finalist, Huddleston will host a fundraiser to make sure she can continue to deliver dreams for more people.
“Our fundraiser last year made enough money to keep us going the whole year,” she says. “We didn’t have to turn anyone away.”
Huddleston hopes to do as well, if not better, at this year’s fundraiser. To that end, she booked “American Idol” finalist Phil Stacey, who will perform an outdoor concert Saturday.

American Idol Experiance Cutback
Well, some depressing news coming out of Disney’s Hollywood Studios and thats the latest concept art for the American Idol Experiance. As is pretty obvious, the plans have been trimmed down from the elaborate early plans to the mediocre minor changes to whats there. I still think its a smart idea for an attraction and think it will probably be popular. What depresses me more then the trimming at American Idol Experiance, is that it is currentely the only attraction under construction at the entire resort, and if Jim Hill is correct, then it will be the last one for a while.
Simon Cowell Removes His Chest Hair
Simon Cowell shaves off all his chest hair — because he hates it being gray.
The American Idol judge, 49, believes his body hair is a turn-off now it’s lost its color.
He says, “You can’t dye chest hair and no one wants to see a gray chest, do they?
“It had to go.”
Cowell has previously admitted to having Botox and getting his teeth done — but denied any speculation that he is gay.

Absolutely adorable: Meet ‘Dancing With the Stars’ pro Tony Dovolani’s twins, Adrian & Ariana

‘Dancing With the Stars’: Game On
Whoa à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ major twist alert! Not only did Cloris Leachman get a leg up (so to speak…such a sundial, that one) on Rocco DiSpirito from the judges, but we found out all the couples will engage in one of four new dances on Monday night. The Hustle, the Jitterbug, salsa, and West Coast Swing are all up for grabs. Oh, there will be grabbing.
‘Dancing with the Stars’: Big breakthroughs, few letdowns
After Rocco DiSpirito & Karina received a stay of execution last week, he and all the celebs are putting their best steps forward on tonight’s Dancing with the Stars to avoid a low two-week combo score. Because no one escapes this week.
Dancing With The Stars: Week 4
(S07E08) It was an unusual week in the ballroom. Misty’s exit last week meant that the week 3 and week 4 scores would be added together for Tuesday’s results show. That put some extra pressure on Rocco, who found himself at the back of the pack after that first round. For those week 4 scores, the couples would be dancing either the samba or the tango. It set the stage for some good performances. In addition, along the way, we just might have seen the worst scoring by a judge, ever.

The cover is okay. Just very glum and he looks like a serial killer. This better be a terrific album because the contrast between the album cover and cheesy American Idol is kind of stark. All will be forgiven if it’s a good album but snark city if it isn’t.
Actually, the capitalization on “A Daily AntheM”, spells Adam.
Eh, the cover art isn’t that extreme. (Now that first Mediabase ad…that was “serial killer”!) If anything I’d complain it’s a bit bland, but the red helps a lot with that.
I do agree I wish the guys didn’t have to look so serious all the time. Even sweet little Archie has to glare at you from his cover. Actually, he’s rockin’ the red too.
I am not loving the album cover. But, at least it’s not a floating head in a sea of purple.
Yay for a track list!!

I like David’s hair longer, it is just a little too short.
