Though plans are still in the works, Fuller wants to expose Underwood’s music internationally. “We’ve got a shot at actually breaking out of America and having a run at a couple of other countries around the world, ” he says, adding that he plans to first focus on Australia, the United Kingdom and Germany. “The world needs to discover Carrie Underwood, so that’s something exciting to come. Carrie always said that she’d love to take country music to the world and that would make her very proud.”

This Just In: Flu Knocks Derek Hough Out of Dancing Practice, Maksim Steps In

Dancing With the Stars: Following Derek Hough’s tweet-nouncement that he has a 104-degree fever (could it be swine flu?!), ABC confirms that Maksim Chmerkovskiy is going to help Joanna Krupa with her three routines for Monday’s episode of Dancing With the Stars in case Derek is unable to perform. In other DWTS news, Louis van Amstel tweeted that there might not be a tour this year.

Adam Lambert Promises ‘Glam Is Back’ With His Debut Album

While Adam Lambert’s debut album doesn’t hit stores for more than a month, the “American Idol” runner-up is offering fans some hints about what they can expect.

In the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, Lambert says he was influenced by the Killers and Muse for the yet-untitled LP. “It’s as if a ’70s time capsule blasted off into space and you’re watching it through a holographic filter, ” he said. “That’s my big vision. … Glam is back, mother—-ers.”

Stuart Scott reprised his now-familiar role as emcee for Carolina’s traditional season kickoff, with support from Carolina’s pep band, cheerleaders, and American Idol finalist Anoop Desai. Sylvia Hatchell’s women’s squad, featuring veterans Jessica Breeland, Italee Lucas, and Cetera DeGraffenreid, showed off a number of new players while sporting pink jerseys and shorts. The Tar Heel women’s volleyball team tossed in a 3-1 victory over Duke for good measure.

Kellie Pickler Expands Her World

Blonde and boisterous Kellie Pickler has frequently professed her appreciation of Dolly Parton, and the North Carolina native seems to have the same approach to the world as Dolly, who grew up across the stateline in neighboring Tennessee.

Glee chick Lea Michele keeps it cute at the FOX Fall Eco Casino Party in Los Angeles on Wednesday (October 14).

The 23-year-old actress and co-star Cory Monteith checked out the Broadway hit musical Rock of Ages on October 11 in New York City. Afterwards, the pair dined with American Idol vet Constantine Maroulis, who has a starring role in Rock of Ages.

Simon Cowell: ‘Dannii Minogue was an idiot to make bisexual jibe about Danyl’

Simon Cowell has spoken out against fellow judge Dannii Minogue over comments she made about contestant Danyl Johnson.

The X Factor supremo said the Dannii made ‘an idiot of herself’ when she joked about Johnson’s sexuality on Saturday’s live show.

He claimed the jibes showed the other judges saw his protege Danyl, 27, as a threat.

Simon, 50, told the Daily Star: ‘All three of them were messing with Danyl and I’m not having it.

‘Those three are more competitive than ever. They see Danyl as a big threat to them winning this competition.

‘I know Dannii is not a spiteful or homophobic person and what she said was a joke. She was terribly upset afterwards because she knew she had done wrong.

X Factor’s Olly: ‘I won’t win, but I’m enjoying every second’

EVEN superstar Robbie Williams wants to be his friend.

Essex boy Olly Murs, 25, is proving that it’s not just his singing talent which is winning the voting masses.

Three months ago the down-to-earth Witham resident was singing karaoke in his local pub – now he’s singing live to millions of people on ITV’s The X Factor.

In fact, Olly is tipped as one of the favourites to win the show. A few bookmakers are offering odds of 11/2 for him to take the crown, despite his mentor Simon Cowell’s admission that he thought the singer was ‘a risk’  and ‘not the best singer in the world’ .

Cheryl Burke Talks ‘Dancing With The Stars’ Michael Jackson Tribute

Since his death in June, Michael Jackson has received a number of tributes on television, including a Janet Jackson-helmed performance at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. The next tribute will come from “Dancing With the Stars, ” which will devote a portion of next Tuesday’s episode to the King of Pop, according to The Associated Press.

Professional dancer and choreographer Cheryl Burke (who was paired with former Representative Tom DeLay this season) told MTV News that the project has been very personal for her.
