As far as claiming fans are overweight, is this front-page news? A majority of the people in this country and many others are overweight, even children…

I am now a huge fan of Ryan Star, after seeing him last weekend, so that’s a bummer about his leaving the Tour, but he was only re-joinng it temporarily, right? Maybe he can do well as a solo artist with his band.

No great loss to my web surfing. I must have gone to that site a handful of times and only to look at the first page, or some link posted elsewhere to a particular item. I do like to go to VFTW every so often to counter the sugar shock, hyper-fanaticism I get from other sites. It helps me to put the fan/Idol world in perspective. Of course … taking a break from the internet altogether would probably be just as helpful.

VFTW is probably in mourning, but it does leave the field open for them a bit more.

That’s how I felt. Making fun of OTT fan behavior is one thing, picking on people for whom you have no idea whether they are OTT or are just showing up at a concert the “wrong” age or weight (or possessing the “wrong” fashion sense… that’s something else altogether. That part felt icky to me.

I have to agree. I was hopng for so much more (HELLO, NEW SINGLE, HELLO, FOX!!!). Enough w/ the wife, geez. I mean I think it’s wonderful he did the concert (lol on the screaming girls), but the hair looked awful and he seemed to be tired (maybe just bored? ) God, more Kris interviews, please!

I did not know Idoltard ( I guess the name says it all), and am thankful I did not from what you are all saying, but I still despise VFTW, b/c it does NOT just make fun of the contestants but also their fans. Yeah, but the pics that people were taking of fans at shows… they were specifically because the people were, in their opinion, unattractive. Regardless, my issue is with the Idletard woman who obsessively internet stalked her, who dug up massive amounts of information on her. She was like some cold war spook compiling a dossier. What was her agenda? Vindicating those poor souls L. Anne supposedly “hurt,” protecting the rest of us? I doubt it (and, no thank you, don’t need that kind of help). Generating more hits to her blog is more like it. That or exorcising some demon from her childhood. To me, her jihad said volumes more about the Idletard chick than it did about anyone else.

I love sites like VFTW, they mostly pick on the contestants who are public figures and they kinda of have of a purporse. But idletard picked on people who’s sole ‘crime’  sometimes was to attend an idol concert or something.

Has anyone seen the video of Adam performing in some Los Angeles area club, before AI, when he had blonde hair (not red hair), and was backed up by guitar and drums. In the vid, Adam performs with 5 or 6 girls, and he is sitting down for some of it, and takes one or two across his lap and slaps them across the backside…at an appropriate time in the vocal of course. I think the song is “Driving me crazy” or something like that.
