Thanks for the Ford Day Videos. The quality really is excellent. They both sound great.

Not sure if this is the same video i watched. In the video i watched there is definitely 1 good singer only. Tall too. Darn speaker fail!

First, the Jonas Brothers are wildly busy and they seem to handle it okay. The two older guys are adults now, but Nick is still a minor. Sure, they have millions of dollars to pay people to juggle that stuff, but they were also working very hard years ago when they didn’t.

Before going on, let me note that these are general points and might not apply in Allison’s case in particular…

Second, although I’m not very familiar with labor laws, I’m a homeschooling parent, and I can tell you that here in New York State (which is one of the most repressive states around) homeschoolers don’t have to follow the public schools’ schedule. For example, the state specifically says that they have no problem with homeschoolers doing educational stuff during nights and/or weekends rather than during public school hours — summer is also fine. So, in some situations involving under-age / compulsory-age kids, there might be more scheduling flexibility than one would think.

Third, in many states (most, if I remember correctly), the compulsory attendance age is young enough that kids Allison’s age don’t legally have to attend school anyway, and thus none of that school/tutor stuff matters from a legal standpoint.

Having said that stuff, though, she’s a California resident, and their compulsory attendance age goes up to 18, and a very brief reading of their compulsory attendance situation does suggest that it’s very inflexible. So, in her particular case, things might indeed be as restrictive as you suggested. On the other hand, she’s in an independent study program — I haven’t looked deep enough to know whether CA’s independent study program provides for flexibility similar to what I mentioned above about New York homeschooling.

I think you missed my point, which was that they should give a big FU to the evil machinations of TPTB (and yes, it would be hot, TO ME). Ah well, I WAS being ridiculously obtuse…

On another note, I find the recent competitiveness between Cook’s and Adams’s fanbases fascinating. I guess they are the current AI Alpha Males – this should be interesting.

Perhaps this is some last ditch attempt to mine that archetypal dichotomy: simple, unassuming but good-hearted, mid-western boy vs. the out-spoken, flashy, gay, urbane, alien from planet glitter (of course neither Adam not Cook fit quite so neatly into those stereotypes). If Cookie is in white and Adam is wearing black, we will know for sure, LOL. Personally, I think the two of them should make-out on the Red Carpet.

Upon reflection, this theory sounds insane, even to me. But it amuses me’ ¦

It amuses me too..and well, David’s not Adam’s usual type, but it would definitely be hot.

LOL! Yes ‘“ I love Cook, but tbh I don’t quite know what he’s doing there either.

TPTB love to pair their idols, and this pairing makes perfect sense to me. I said it last night but I’ll say it again, these two have a lot more in common than meets the eye: great singers, poised, classy, charming, intelligent, confident, masculine, sexy, and each comes bearing a wicked sense of humor. And let’s face it, their combined fanbase is HUGE, and very BROAD!

This is just ass-talking, but I still think that TPTB are bitterly disappointed that they didn’t get their transparently orchestrated battle of Light and Dark, Good vs. Evil, two years in a row. They were first foiled when Cookie and Archie staunchly refused to play the game and be adversarial (a boxing theme, WTF!?), and then this year when Danny was eliminated, and then Adam turned out to be such a well-behaved sweetie (at least during the competition, hah).

‘But I’d rather hear that opinion from someone who has no personal connection to Adam’ ¦I’d be less likely to take it as OTT reaction if I heard or read it from someone that had no personal or professional ties to him. I have my fingers crossed that Adam’s album ends up being even half as good as the hype about it has been!’ 

-When you’re a fan, everything sounds great even if it doesn’t. Both Adam and Kris has OTT fans and OTT reactions. Just keep on flailing on your fave.

The name of the Pink song is ‘What Ya Want From Me’ . Pink Floyd has a song called ‘What Do You Want From Me’  which may be part of the confusion. I believe the screen capture by the poster on AO is legitimate because it has the correct title.

The whole thing is very confusing but ‘What Ya Want From Me’  is the correct title of Pink’s song.

It isn’t all that confusing. You register a song with ASCAP before you ever perform it. There is no Copyright registration for this song under either title, and all of Pink’s released songs are copyrighted. She never performed the song. She did the recording. the recording was never produced or mastered — it is an unfinished recording. And it was never released.

And, even if it had been released, so what? Do you actually think that Adam wouldn’t have is own arrangement, production, vocal improvisations, etc. Adam doesn’t do “copies” very well — listen to his version of Believe or Satisfaction, for example.

That’s the same clip that was released WEEKS AGO.

My bad, I was looking something from ontd_ai and thinking that was the version we were talking about. But as that post is locked, can’t share stuff from it. My total bad. But for members, they can go over and look at it. I thought that was the version, or I wouldn’t have mentioned it at all. Sowwy.

Q3, do you think that means there will be two videos shown? One that is Adam’s and one that is 2012’s with Adam’s song?

I have reread every original press mention and the press release — that all indication two separate parts. Can’t figure out what started all the discussion of it changing — because the TfM audio + 2012 scene video is old and was released before the MV.
