And we know that for sure how? It could be just a theory. It could be the truth.

OTOH I wouldn’t put it past some of his detractors from pretending to be Glamberts. There are those whose main goal seems to be to harm him professionally.

Yes, it almost made me wonder, few fans would use the glambert moniker due to its OTT connotations ? Makes you wonder…

Funny how the name “Glambert” gets attached to everything negative. All the fan groups were in on the action.

Later in the evening, some were trying to trend a silly topic, #adamscookie (I think that was it?). The ontd_ai people didn’t like it and went on the attack. Quite nasty.

Bad behaviour is not limited to any one fan group, that’s for sure.

I think twitter gives people delusions of grandeur.

Some wannabe’s don’t realize that is all they are ever going to be.

So I’m not sure what the big advantage to escaping the Idol bubble is.

In fact, there is an upside. If you remain on good terms with them and have a decent product to promote, you can possibly perform it on one of the Idol episodes, in front of millions of people. Great promotion opportunity that many other young artists never get.

But I also know that Cook is a much better and versatile writer than he showed on this first studio, AI album.

I would be more assured if he was writing with his band members and didn’t continue these song writing sessions…

I like DCTR. I still listen to it and enjoy it pretty much a year after release and genuinely like a lot of the songs.

That’s pretty much where I am — I like the album a lot, and still listen to it quite often a year later. Just know he has more to offer

I need to listen more to KoL album. Isn’t there a song called Sexy something that Adam said he would like to use as a way to enter the stage?

I absolutely adore Closer and Cold Desert on the KOL album. SOF is a great wake up song on the radio. Use Somebody is actually not one of my favs, ironically, as that was the one that made them huge!

And I like some of The Fray’s songs too…

Oh, I agree with that. And I also agree that the song writing on the DC album suffered from being rushed. His songs from previous albums had much more complicated and interesting lyrics and experimented more with form – especially in Axium.

Though he was already going for the big, ear catching chorus in Analogue Heart, the songs and lyrics themselves were more interestingly structured. Besides, the chorus, if good, will hook you into the rest of a song and get you to listen to it; it’s just that using an identical structure for each song becomes very obvious after a while. That’s why I’d remove the more poppy rock sings from DCTR and mix in a few others that were less similar in structure.

I like DCTR. I still listen to it and enjoy it pretty much a year after release and genuinely like a lot of the songs.

But I also know that Cook is a much better and versatile writer than he showed on this first studio, AI album. With a band which includes some other strong song writers, I just hope that he gets more room to explore and manouver on the next album and isn’t pushed to simply replicate the first due to its success – either by RCA or by his own perceptions of why this album attracted platinum sales.

I think so. And Pick U Up is a song I like, too. I like Weeeeezer! Their new album is fun. Only the first track (is that Music Again?) does not work for me. All the others do, some more than others.

I predict Orianthi is going to do very well. And she is only in her early 20s!!! Wow.

Still waiting to hear FYE in Chicago. It’s had some spins but not while I’ve been listening. Can’t wait to hear it on radio!!

Broken Open is the song that I find beautiful and haunting. I’m anxious to hear if the whole song will affect me the same way. I actually like all the snippets, they are like little promises of something wonderful to come.

I have high hopes for that one too. In fact, I think I am going to love all the ballads. Pick You Up is growing on me.

I tried to listen to the Glee and X Factor songs. I can’t for more than a few seconds. None of those singers can compare to what I really want to hear.

Squirrely – I think those videos are listed in chronological order of when they were added to the website. It’s still great to see the LLWD added to the website already. Kris is supposed to be interviewed on the countdown in two weeks. But I am hoping that VH-1 will start playing the video tomorrow.

Not necessarily. Clay fans = Claymates, Adam fans = Glamberts to the world at large and he is no doubt assuming from the request for FYE that the person is an Adam fan.

Adam’s fans need to educate themselves on not spamming radio stations.

Excuse me, but this guy could have gotten maybe 5 emails and call it spamming. Incorporating an entire group for the actions of one or small few is really pissing me off.

As for KOL album, a lot of it actually sounds the same and it’s enough just to download the best singles. There are a few songs that I like but those are really really good. I love Closer, use somebody and sex on fire most.

I agree on the KOL album- not a big fan of Closer but love SOF, Use Somebody and Notion. Also love Taper Jean Girl off one of their other albums. This was the first time I used my “complete my album” function on my ipod and kind of pissed that I did. But hey- three songs that are great on an album these days is pretty rare.

Heh, yeah, that doesn’t work well for anyone… my local channel 99.5 had a DJ pissed off because someone’s fans were bombarding him on twitter to play the song… I want to say it is Donnie Wahlberg? Whoever it was, the song was terrible – the DJ played it, had people call in if they liked it, and said since it sucked he wouldn’t play it again. So that kind of spamming/bombarding the DJs isn’t just limited to Idol fans but it just does not work.

I’m waiting for Adam to send a tweet message to his overzealous fans to chill out. Lord knows he isn’t afraid to call them out, thankfully.

I keep replaying his snippets. I’m really looking forward to this CD!! It’s a good sign when I keep changing which one is my favorite.
