I didnÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t know that Dean was part of the label. I remember some of the stuff he said during the AI seasonÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦or some of the stuff that was attributed to him.

Gingerly, I think I get where you're coming from. I'm remembering something about a Fox interview attributed to that Dean guy. At the time I did not form a very high opinion of him because it seemed kind of meanspirited towards Cook, but I don't know if he made a retraction or was misquoted or something. The stuff about Archuleta getting label interest before the top ten is definitely more fodder for the grassy knoll, but I doubt it would hurt or help his career either way. Nobody outside of the AI bubble has probably ever heard of Dean whatshisface.

That commercial is the dorkiest thing ever, and I love it! Do we know if David is also going to be a part of the show itself?

Cook plus Best Week Ever staff=dorky goodness. Also, hollogram Cookie >>>> hollogram Princess Leia>>>>hologram CNN correspondents. He was "nominated" for Best Year Ever, and since I'm pretty sure he can take Cloris Leachman, I imagine he'll be part of the show in some way. :tongue1_tb:

It could just be a bs rumor but Archie opening for Chris Brown actually is a great pairing. Chris Brown is way more urban but I think Archie’s singing chops could win some fans over. But I get that it’s just gossip at this point.

HERE's an interview with Archie at the Holiday of Hope tree lighting by MaximoTV. He said that the next single is coming out next week. Apparently, even David is not always in the loop about things, unless the add date has been changed again. LOL. HERE's David with Santa Claus.

BTW, I love how the girls are screaming for him to sing O Holy Night and heÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s like, Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…â€œer, how about Silent Night.Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ Guess he didnÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t want to sing OHN twice the same night. lol.

O Holy Night was sung in the VIP lounge. The people who were there had to pay extra. I think David wanted to keep that experience for them special, so that's probably he chose not to sing it again during the outdoor event. I just watched Imagine and Crush this morning. They were uploaded at Snarky's late last night. He never ceases to impress!

I guess I just find what Dean says more propaganda than newsÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦

Propaganda is news especially when it comes to Entertainment “news” (and business news. Seriously, that section of the paper is mostly re-writes of company propaganda). A huge portion of entertainment articles come from the label’s public relation press releases. Sometimes, those very press releases are published in the headlines section. If that’s not propaganda, I don’t know what is. Most of the subsequent Idol interviews are set up by the PR guys and the Idols are given talking points. Sounds like “propaganda” to me.

Dean is a bit of a blabbermouth, but inside sources are generally considered news (from Kat’s mom to the infamous “Chris Insider” to Blake’s bandmates/dad/aunt to Cookie’s brother to Dean-the-hairdresser to Dean-the-vocal-coach). Sure, insiders are more likely to give the good news than the bad, but I’m not sure how that differs from the label PR’s department except that insiders aren’t PR professionals and are more likely to give us the juicy bits.

If MJ waited for the official press release to find out who the top 24 for Idol were, we’d get the news when it airs on TV.

Dean may find himself on the outside if he keeps this up and he may not be doing any favours to Archie, but I think it qualifies as news. That said, MJ is the final arbitrator on that subject on this site.

First…. I love a thousand miles he is amazing…

Now for the serious part, you donÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t see it like something bad, but maybe is my work experience the one thatÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s tell me that every conversation between two part involved in a negotiation should be confidential, is ethics and according to my previous boss there is nothing worst in the world that a professional that can keep quiet… literally…

Having said that, I have no problem with Dean talking about David is voice, or telling us stories from the past, but when he start talking about things that concert David Ãƒâ€š ´s career, right now, I would prefer is they use a official channel, that what an artist is suppose to do, thatÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s one of the reason they hired management, so that they know when to let certain information let out… if David wanted us to know about the tour, he have has a thousand of opportunities to talk about the it himself, in almost every interview he has done recently the tour question appear, he writes blogs, he le us message on our phones , so is David doesnÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t tell us I donÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t think Dean should be doing either…

About the other details he giving us, I donÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t you guys but here in Latin America we have a said that goes Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…â€œA lo pasado pasadoÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ , and itÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s mean that things that below in the past should be leave that way, what use we have in knowing that David was getting record offers since Top Ten, certainly right now that wonÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t help him with his career now so for me that kind of information sound pretentious and useless, and it wont help David record anther album is things doesnÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t go the way it is suppose whit this album, knots on woodÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ same as the fact that he David hadnÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t listen to Ãƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…â€œADIPÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ until 2 days before ha sang itÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ whatÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s the point in let in that kind of information outÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦

As I said maybe is me being cynical, maybe is me taking works ethics to serious, but for now I would rather that David his family and friends will use the professional channels to release information about DavidÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s career, IMHOÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦.

The tree lighting performances were amazing!!!! I especially liked O Holy Night, ALTNOY, and A Thousand Miles. David's got the voice of an angel! I like how Snarky Archies is putting up the very best version of each song as they are being submitted.

More David and the OsmondsÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦. David and a little bellÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ is too bad that IÃƒâ€š ´m smiling like an idiot to my laptop for this video, he is just so cute!!!!! Mary did you know

David's fidgetiness was so cute during Silver Bells. And he outsung all of those Osmonds in Mary Did You Know. ETA: Here are some professional photos of David at the Tree Lighting concert. He looks really nice.

Dean is David’s vocal coach. He probably is on some kind of retainer in that he helps David keep his voice from becoming a wreck like so many of singers in the beginning of their careers. Kelly, Fantasia, and Jordin all shot their voices to hell with this grueling schedule, so if anything I appreciate the work Dean does in that respect.

He is opinionated but I think that he is acting with the Archuleta’s blessing or he would be cut off at the knees to any access with David. Saying that there are talks for David opening for Chris Brown isn’t self serving or propaganda, it’s just speculative, and it also is like a trial balloon for the fans to see if this is something that might create a good kinda buzz. What does Dean get out of it? It’s he’s wrong, he’s already said it’s not written in stone. If he’s right, then they will want more info in the future.

I am always interested in what Dean says because he’s an insider and that is one of the things that fans like, is to think that they may get a little tidbit of info before the general public. Nothing bad about that imho.

It was interesting to read the news posted here tonight about Archie from his voice coach. David’s friends and family stike me as very real people. They are not Hollywood soundbite people. They seem, from what is posted around the internet, like gracious accommodating people. Dean was apparently asked to do a chat on a fansite and he did inform Archie that he was doing so.

Friends and family of celebrities are often interviewed, it is not unusual. Since David’s circle is so real and they all treat fans like family, they may say things that start speculation. But I could see nothing that was said that is wrong and except for the Chris Brown speculation, which it was made clear was not fact, most everything Dean said has been said in some form before.

I myself think it is wonderful that David cares so much about his fans and am grateful for the relationship he and his circle has with us.

Yeah, I”m not seeing the big deal. I get the impression people just don’t ike Dean because they think he’s too opinionated. Oh well. I respect that he always speaks very highly of David even if he could use a bit more tact sometimes.

You know, if he was just name dropping about David’s tour possibilities next year, it would be more fun if he said they were considering a David/Britney tour. Hee.

I’m loving the videos I just saw of David’s performances at the Tree lighting ceremony. Especially ATM and my favorite live performance of ALTNOY to date.

If it gets to the worry point, I’m sure management/Jeff, will ask Dean to stop doing chats and fan question sessions or wherever these all come from. I don’t see the harm in saying they were “talking” about Chris Brown. It’s not like he said it was set in stone.

LK08, I agree with what you said. I know Dean is close to Jeff and David, but some of the information that he “leaks” makes me uncomfortable. I sometimes wonder what his motives are. Maybe I’m a bit too cynical. I hope that he has solid info, but I would like to see it collaborated by other sources.

It drives other artists fans crazy that idols are so high up all of the time. They get really mad about it.

If you are an Archie fan, then it is news to them. It shows what the label is thinking and it is something that may actually pan out. I’m sorry you don’t seem to enjoy these posts but I for one am grateful because it is hard to read tons of fan sites to find all these tidbits.
