I think Idols performing on Season 8 will be Carrie, both Davids,Kelly, Carrie, Elliott (depending how his new song does) and Carrie. I’ll believe that Taylor is performing on Idol when I see it.

MJ, Elliott, Taylor, Jason, Kelly, Josiah and maybe Carlyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ ¦ Thatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s lots of Idol for that period of time.
I wonder which ones will perform on AI8.

Oh, wow. It looks like it would cost me a small fortune but I intend to get all of these kids’ albums. I like them all (and their music).

If Elliott guest appears for a third straight year on AI, wow, they really love him. I’m thinking Kelly would certainly be there. A Jason guesting? I don’t really see it.

Last night I went out with some friends for dinner and a cocktail, or seven, and we got to playing Would You Rather. After a few rounds that included lines of questioning like, “Would you rather have no arms or no legs?” my friend Brian asked, “Would you rather look like David Archuleta or Zac Efron?” Obviously the debate quickly turned from “Who would you rather look like” to “Who would you rather date.”

I was team Efron, Brian was team Archuleta while the rest of our tablemates were firmly split down the middle. This is when things got interesting, because strangers sitting around us started to chime in, unprovoked, to our conversation. Apparently when discussing tween stars, people can’t help but weigh in on the matter. And wouldn’t you know it, by the time the evening was over and our margarita glasses were empty, the votes had been tallied and Archuleta came out on top – in a big way.

We’re talking like 60/30 in David’s favor, which is surprising only because I always thought he was more Kewpie doll cute than universally sexy. Clearly I was wrong. So now I am bringing the debate to the interweb — which team would you belong to: Archuleta or Efron?

Taylor said on a podcast on mix 97.1 Columbus, OH http://blog.mix971.net/mixmorningshow/ that he will be on AI this year at some point..and this is where he mentions that the CD is pushed to early March..

TRP is his management but TRP also has a music label. I know this is complicated but thatà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s how the music biz is these days.

From what I can gather, 3 Ring Projects is Michael’s management, not his record label.

In the Rodney Ho interview I posted, Michael said he’d be distributing his album through either Sony/ATV or Universal.

They def have the same management but the label thing is a little cloudy. I don’t think TRP even promotes albums (they farm it out to consultants.) Like I said very complicated

The reviewerr liked DC. He also liked Gavin DeGraw and Natasha Bedingfield. Colbie Caillet, not so much.

I was just going to post the same thing. I don’t think they’re exactly labelmates, though, since E’s label is Hickory. But hmmm…both of their CDs are reportedly dropping in March. TRP will have its hands full promoting the two. I hope MJ thrives at TRP, too.

First thing, though, TRP should update MJ’s bio on their page. Heh.

Is this a trend that could carry over to the other idolà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s? AI is a monster, so I *think* it should be safe but who knows.

Safe for 2 more seasons. It comes back for renegotiation after 2010, and I have heard hints that Simon wants to bring the X Factor to America.

the broadcaster announced yesterday it would put its other heavyweight reality talent show on a one-year à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“rest,à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  deciding not to air Canadian Idol in 2009.

Now that’s something to make you go hmmmm. This year was the first time I watched CI and only because you carried the vids MJ. I don’t know how popular it is, I don’t know how much money they make off of it.
