By the standards of Trafalgar Square demos it was a decidedly muted affair. Friday nightà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s internet-organised à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“flash mobà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ in central London attracted only about a dozen people.
To be fair, one had travelled all the way from Bristol to be there; it was a cold night just before Christmas; and, anyway, just how often has the square seen a protest in favour of a mere pop song?
In the eyes of the group this was, of course, no mere pop song à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬’ it was a classic and this was the à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“definitive version, sung by a godà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬

And Colin Hanks doesn’t fare much better with the same usual nice guy schtick (aww, he’s recruiting for a nursing home…).

To paraphrase the young and talented Jordin Sparks, “This is our now.” By “this,” of course, I refer to American Idol season, which kicks off January 13 on Fox, and will continue till you have turned into a speed-dialing, sleep-deprived, squealing fangirl/boy or till you can’t take another second of hearing about the exploits of Simon, Paula, Randy, and a bunch of currently anonymous singing hopefuls. As for the “our,” that’d be yours truly, as well as my delightfully twisted, opinionated, earnest, and witty co-hosts. Oh, man. I do love the Idolatry videos. I don’t know that anything this season will manage the heights of brilliance of Brooke as Bambi, Syesha as Wonder Woman, or (especially) KLC as a Godzilla robot, but I am more than willing to give them the chance to try.

Between work and getting ready for Xmas I haven’t been here for a little while. I sure have missed it!
I was flipping channels tonight and I saw George Huff in some X-Mas special on CMT. He still has his same moves and a towel in his hands. LOL. It was cute and then I turned the channel. I can’t wait to see season 7 re-runs on the Reality TV channel, that should be fun. (info form the Snarkies).
