Mine is a girl and dammit if she doesn't freak me out with the insecurities. She's petite a size 1. She wants to gain weight. I told her it's just not normal for her given her DNA. She hates her voice. She hates her hands. She grumbles when people compliment her. I think that some who act like they are secure just hide it better. David darling. You sing like a dream and you are at least an 8 on a scale of 1-10. My daughter certainly thinks so. Yep, I am mother to one of those insecure 18 year olds. David met Sara in her trailer, and when he emerged, he had an important question for his management: à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Sara wants me to sing with her today; can I?à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  Well, unfortunately, due to contractual restrictions, the answer was no, but David was excited to have been asked!

It’s too bad he didn’t get to sing with her that day, but I’m hoping that this meeting with her will have sown the seeds for a future collaboration.

He's great about keeping fans in the loop. And I saw David's "I'm weird-looking" article this morning before I picked up my daughter, also a teenager, from a sleepover. Listened to her spew her own insecurities for a bit, then talk about how her male friend talks about HIS insecurities, and thought of parallels. Could be an age issue.
