There is a big, BIG difference in what the judges said about the particular arrangements.

They praised Daughtry for being “original” blah, blah, blahityblah.

The most they said to David last night was “great arrangement” and “I like people who take risks”. Nothing about being original.

And the same thing could be said about all the fawning over David Archuleta’s ripoff of Eva Cassidy last week.

Poor Ramiele. Someone gets stuck with this stinker almost every season, but has any Idol been able to sing it well? Hope Ramiele does well enough to make Top 12, I really like her voice.

The difference is that there is no difference. Ità ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s just that AI has been kicking themselves in the foot since the cut Frenchie

I read earlier here at MJ’s that the difference was that the website she posed for catered to men who were into underage girls.

I loved Frenchie, I wish she would have stayed.

That’s the judges fault, really, none of them strike me as being particularly knowledgeable about rock music – Randy brought up INXS comparisons after Michael performed a song by Simple Minds, a Scottish rock band. And Simon said he never heard Heart’s “Crazy On You” before Carly performed it last week. That song is a staple on classic rock radio, I hear it every other day.

Anyone in LA here?

I was in NY on business and saw Spamalot on Sunday night. Great seat, row 6 on the aisle. He was adorable. He’s not the lead so there’s a lot of downtime waiting for him to come back on stage. But he was so good. Very natural actor, and of course his voice is so good for Broadway. It was just a bonus that the show was cute. Very worth $112.

From that link I heard , “That’s David the Gay Stripper” but it’s really not clear at all…

Doesn’t matter, I like David, he has talent. What he did or does on his own time is his own business. ( Not that their’s anything wrong with that – Seinfeld)

I thought the bru-ha-ha over à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“I Walk the Lineà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬  was much ado about nothing Season 5. It would be the same if people made a big deal about David C. doing the Incubus version of à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã…“Hello.à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬ 

I could care less who’s doing whose cover version. It is annoying though when someone does a cover version and gets praise for being omgtotallyoriginal!!!11! I don’t know if that’s what the judges said to David Cook seeing as how I have to DVR the show and I usually FF through the critiques and the filler (I’m bad…I know!), but I think that was the crux of DAUGHTRYgate last year. Or at least it should have been. These things get blown out of proportion. Which is probably the understatement of the year
