I think they pretty much picked weaker girls on purpose to make it much easier for the guys, because history shows that a girl with a good voice going against a guy will win MOST of the time. (Season 5 being the only exception). Archuleta has already won the thing anyway, which gives me little reason to pick a favorite. He will go the Jonas Bros/ Miley Cyrus route and sell tons of albums to the Disney crowd. I think that will hurt the creditbility of the show somewhat because why will older, serious singers want to try out just to get beat by a cute kid with a good voice? I mean say for instance the young man who was booted prematurely Josiah Leming had made it and won. Should he stop writing because Clive has an office full of crappy, sappy, pop songs at his disposal? Absolubely not. I mean some people are just not song writers, but some people have it. Kelly, Chris D, and Kellie P are good songwriters. I know they all had help with the songs they write, but they have the goods. Now if David A wins, he should have writers because I don't think he is a songwriter. There is no cut and fast rule on this. Should Mariah, Xtina, and Alicia stop writing? Well maybe Mariah, lol, Clive speaks with fork tongue. As for Stevie letting others sing his songs.....he's done that, should he stop singing just because after a 40 year career people stop buying. Absolutely not. Singing and writing is his joy. Stevie is still awesome. Prince is too, and he has a right to be selective as to who should sing his songs. Clive is dead wrong.
