Purps, Jason is my fave so far, too.

I really enjoy his voice, pj. Very refreshing, easy to listen to and it makes me smile. I hope he continues to choose songs, cheesy or not, that are suited to his voice. I also hope he stays long in the competition so that I can have more of his music. I already made a CD of his AI performances and some of his original songs, a couple of which I am so far liking, so I can listen to him wherever or whenever I need a little lifting of spirit. Of course, it doesn’t hurt, either, that Jason is a cutie. Heh.

I saw that David Cook music page yesterday and I also really liked Makeover and a couple of other songs. David has a really good voice…kinda like Chris D’s but maybe just a little better, less strained (to me, at least). However, just like in the case of listening to Daughtry’s, I could also listen to David’s music only in small doses at a time. ;p

Ugh, I’m beginning to dislike Carly even more than ever before. So, she wants to win this more than half of the top 12? Gosh, just hand her the title now, because she has worked sooooooooo hard. Gag me! I like Jason C., and, David H. too. And, I really hope that David A. doesn’t win. He is starting to annoy me to the max. I guess I just don’t get all the hype about him. No way would I waste a dime to buy his album. David C. is great too.

I’m not a Carly fan but I’m not anti Carly either. She can sing. She has been disappointed by the music industry in the past and I do think she probably wants to win more than most because this is her second chance and she realizes there may not be a third. At fifteen they(the record company) probably promised her they’d make her a super star. At seventeen she found out that it wasn’t happening. Major disapointment. She still has a dream of a career in music. Really all I care about is their talent and how it connects with me. My favorite now, also is getting lots of flack as it’s David Hernandez. IMO he has the best voice of the guys. He’s got my finger voting this year.

Maybe Carly has been in Pauler’s stash? Eh, she’s not going to win and blaming poor sales on 9/11 would be lame even if her CD was actually released on 9/12. I think she’ll be lucky to make the top 5.

Thanks for posting that video of Jason, pj. It made me feel a little pervy, I must say. He looked REALLY young. I don’t think any shirtless videos of Archuidol will surface. Heh. I think Jason is going to give little David a run for his money and then lose at the finale when he can’t belt out the puppies and rainbows song that’s probably already been written for David.

Speaking of Davids, here’s a page with 5 or 6 songs from David Cook’s 2006 solo album. This isn’t my usual genre of music, but I really love “Makeover” and “Silver” I would buy the CD if it were available. I think he’s a pretty talented songwriter. They’re adding a song a week.

IÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m thinking that her CD might have been released overseas (London) on September 11th (or close by) and release in America later.

Her album was released in the UK on July 1, 2002 (Amazon, UK). It would be unusual for an American produced CD to be released first oversees. "Ultimate High" was definitely an American production and her parents actively sought an American contract. ETA: I found an article on the MCA site listing the release date to be July 1, 2002 across Europe.

And yeah, starting with CarlyÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s pre-performance package on Wednesday night, her accent seemed a LOT stronger to me than it has been. IÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢d have to find some prior clips on youtube but I donÃƒ ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t remember it being that strong before.

Her Mom is/was in town so she may just be reverting back to speaking with a heavier accent…it happens!!

Hey — I’m not trying to stick up for Carly — I like her and think she has the strongest voice of the women, but she’s not my favorite.

And yes, I agree that she probably does want it more than at least many of the girls. I’d say a good handful of the girls will think it’s good enough to go on the tour.

Oh, and by the way, Carly’s first single, “I’m Gonna Blow Your Mind”, was released in April 7, 2001. So you can’t blame that flop on 9/11 either. Her second single “Beautiful You” was released for sale on October 2, 2001 and Billboard reviewed it for radio release on October 29, 2001.

Look, I can see dates getting messed up in your head after 7 years, but she specifically says that it was released on her birthday, Sept 12. Most people remember their birth dates and any life altering events that occur on them.

I just listened to the Carly interview (why to I torture myself??). The more I hear her, the less I like her. She’s such a “victim” trying to get everyone’s sympathy. Wawawa. poor, poor Carly. No one has worked harder than Carly – boo, hoo. My visa didn’t come through so I couldn’t win S5. blah, blah, blah. Her excuses are just pathetic. Didn’t she say her cd failed in another interview because the record company went poof (whatever that means)?

She should just stop all this and say the cd failed, that’s life and here I am putting my best effort into this. To say she wants it more than half the people there was also disgusting. Way to build relationships, Carly! I’ve said before that she expects to win, but now it’s obvious that she thinks she deserves to win because of her “struggles”.

grrrrrrrrr. she is aggravating.

LOL that’s okay pj. I read/heard that story yesterday about him going to auditions more as a support for his brother and then he made it through and his brother didn’t. Too funny.

In the video I watched yesterday, the brother was like “I’m going to go all Ashlee Simpson on him” if he makes it far. LOL. I think in MJ’s spoiler threads from way back, she has those videos linked. They were from an Omaha Fox affiliate, I think.
