cool still chugging along.
Yikes, LO is out of the top 50… on the bright side, Archie sold over 31K to be #50, so LO could’ve still sold a decent amount. I guess we’ll find out this afternoon on Idol Chatter. I really wished RCA would move on from LO already, and at least announce the next single, put up an add date… I just posted this on the AI Experience thread, but GMA just played a clip of the LO video to preview tomorrow’s show in Disney World. I was really hoping DC wouldn’t play LO again tomorrow but that might just be the case yet again, if we are to guess anything based on today’s clip. Sigh. Hope I’m wrong.
Yikes. Please no. Anything but LO. Freaking Magic Rainbow over LO.
Hopefully they showed it just because it’s the only music video DC has. I mean, what else would they show?
Great sales for Kelly. Am thrilled for her and cannot wait for her new album.
Yay, Crush is still selling at a nice pace. Am not too concerned about LO being out of the Top 50. Slow and steady for me on both the Davids.
Kirsten, thanks for the sales numbers and airplay updates thus far.
Uh these shows always show music videos to preview guests. It’s the only video DC has out. It’s not an indicator that’s what he’s performing. They’ve been using Clay’s Invisible video for the last 5 years to preview his performances of various different songs.
Good to know… I’m holding out hope
.
I’ll hold out hope with you. C’mon RCA, release another single.
Well, LO has peaked on the pop charts, so one would expect the sales will start to go down. I bet it’s somewhere in the 20s-30s like it always is.
I want a new single, but I’m not too agitated about it yet. But maybe I will be by next week.
Melinda sold 10,900 albums in her first week and will debut at #58.

DCTR has sold 16,900 this week
19 30 DAVID COOK 19/RCA/RMG 16,902 -6%
DAVID COOK
giving a total of 953,000 with 47,000 to go to 1,000,000 actual sales. Very steady week without performances. This week should be different with the GMA performance and the start of his tour.
LO must be very close to 700,000 if not over this week.
^^ That’s the HDD estimate, not the final soundscan number for DCTR. We don’t know what his actual sales are yet.
spanishfan, Given the rounded off numbers that were leaked earlier today, he likely sold somewhere between 16,700 and 17,900. But we won’t know for sure until someone somewhere spills the beans.
Brian… c’monnn now!
^^ A watched Brian never posts.
Thanks Tina – even better and better. HDD have not been far out in their predictions.
Haha, you mean I should stop refreshing, finish my class work and go to class? Fine…
I’m sorry but what is DCTR? David Cook totally real? David Cook totally rocks? David Cook The rocker?
David Cook The Record, named so because we’ve been calling it The Record since forever (that’s what he calls it, rather than album), and then adding DC because, well, that’s the name of his record.
Yes, Brian seems more interested in the drama of the actual show than the Idol sales numbers. Go figure.
I’m actually struggling to be nice and not say AGAIN that he’s no Ken Barnes! Numbers please?! LOL
So does anyone know the sales number for DCTR yet? I so wanting it to hit that 1 million mark soon! Anyone?
For Week 12, I believe the “final” number in SoundScan/Mediabase for DCTR is 16,954 placing him #29.
TOML: 1,095,587
LO: 676,591
Total sales for DCTR is 953,279 with only 46,721 left to 1M as far as Mediabase is concerned.
However, only 80% of retailers report to SoundScan so only the label really knows how much was sold, but the chart is an indication or report card on how an album is doing overall so it’s not really “final numbers.” I’d imagine a slight increase but nothing significantly higher but those numbers do accumulate week after week.
Now why isn’t Brian reporting sales figures?
Brain has reported the sales figures, late, but they are there now. I don’t know how to copy them over here…………..
HDD has the final sales figures in now, if anybody wants to copy them wherever they are supposed to go, now that this is off the front page now…..
(and above, Brian not Brain, lol) oops.
Brian’s are from last week, HDD is today’s post of course.
