Are Dream Big and ISHFWILF still available for download? Because I had looked for Dream Big a day or so after the finale (yes, I admit it, I actually found the song kinda catchy, lol) and it wasn’t available so I’m curious to how its still charting.

I hope it’s alright to post this here:

    Charts: GReeeeN finally takes #1

…Meanwhile, almost half of the top 10 albums came from foreign artists, as Usher and Radiohead joined Madonna and Elliott Yamin in the rankings…

I think Dream Big and ISHFWILF must have been pulled after the iTunes cutoff date.

Yay Cookie! Those seem like 2nd week good numbers for the magic rainbow song.

So Magic Rainbow sold less on iTunes (but still does very well for a 2nd week of a coronation song, correct?), but how will the spins on radio effect the Hot 100 placing? I’m not sure, but I think it has gained some more airplay since last week.

Not enough to compensate. He was sitting at over 6 million AI last week and he’s at just under 8 million this week (in other words, he gained 2 points for airplay and lost 73 points in sales. Roughly. The calculations aren’t quite that simple, but it gives you the magnitude)

Here are the AI numbers for the top two songs to give you an idea of how many successful songs have:

Lil Wayne: Lollipop: 156 million (sales 194K
Leona Lewis: Bleeding Love: 137 million (sales 111K)

But the top song on the digital charts (Coldplays “Viva la Vida” - 219K in sales) only has an AI of 6.6 million so there will be a lot of movement between the Digital and the Hot 100 spots. Magic Rainbows might be able to stay in the Top 10.

Top 200 album numbers are out. See main post.

Thanks for the album info on Elliott in Japan. Usher, Radiohead, Madonna, Elliott Yamin…sounds good to me.

Thanks for the info, Kirsten. I’ll hope it stays in the top 10.

On the one hand, I want the song to do well, because it’s David’s current single. On the other hand, I hate that non-AI viewers will get introduced to DC with Magic Rainbow.
Ah, the double-edged sword that is the coronation song.

    Speaking of the coronation song…

You know you’re addicted to Cookie when you spend time “interpreting” subtitles for a reversed playback of “Magic Rainbow”…

    RemusL,

    That was hilarious! Lama Mass.
I’m first at evil. Wussed me up. Arc my wife.

I am still laughing. What’s sad is that it still sounded kinda good.

Jordin Sparks’ “No Air” featuring Chris Brown drops 5-7, Ray J & Yung Berg’s “Sexy Can I” slides 7-8 and “American Idol” champ David Cook’s “The Time of My Life” falls 3-9. Only three of the 11 record-breaking debuts from last week remain on the Hot 100 by Cook, but “The Time of My Life” manages a record-breaking debut at No. 31 on the Adult Top 40. It’s the highest opening for a career-starting single by a solo male there.

    Cookie broke another record??

  12. 12 spritely Jun 5th, 2008 at 12:41 pm

What a great record to break! Go, Maximum Dave! (tm?)

According to Billboard, he’s #3 on Hot Digital Tracks, after being #1 last week. And he’s #4 on Hot Digital Singles, after being #1 last week. (I don’t know what the diff is between tracks and singles and will probably feel stoopid when I find out.)

From what I can ferret out, his radio airplay is picking up speed, yay.

I wish that Billboard round-up had mentioned that the reason all of his other songs fell away is that they were *taken* away! But industry insiders probably already know that.

    So, Cookie breaks another record?
Not bad for a guy who wasn’t “supposed” to win.
TPTB has a gem this time; I hope they don’t mess it up.
