Up 943%!!!! Nice increase, due to her moving CMA performance, no doubt. Hope Kellie’s CD sales get a boost, too.

I like Kellie Pickler and know she’s capturing the hearts of country music lovers. Good for her!

It seems that Wait for You is currently the #2 most played song of 2007. This includes all the Mediabase charts, AOL, etc. I’m pretty sure Big Girls Don’t Cry is #1. Of course 2007 isn’t over yet. Anyway, they announce this stuff in January so we’ll see where it ends up.

It seems that Wait for You is currently the #2 most played song of 2007. This includes all the Mediabase charts, AOL, etc.

Where did you find that stat?

Usually the biggest songs are cross-overs between the Urban and Top 40 charts. Songs like “Umbrella” with an AI of 2,950.407 and 374744 spins or “Beautiful Girls” with an AI of 2,115.795 and 277806 spins. Sometimes, a country cross over can also do very well. “Before He Cheats” has an AI of 3,867.859 and 542954 spins to date. “Wait for You” has crossed over to the AC/HAC charts with some urban play and has done quite well with an AI of 1,715.023 and 241243 spins to date.

I don’t know the AOL numbers.

As you say about the year, it’s not over (which has an AI of 2,542.889 and 422354 to spin a few of which would have been last year).

If “Wait For You” is the 2nd most played song of 2007, then Elliott Yamin should get Grammy nominations.

I think the only other Idols from Season 5 besides Elliott who even have a chance at nominations are Daughtry, Pickler and Covington.

I will eat my Idol 5 CD if Taylor or Katharine get nominations.

“**Elliott has the #2 MOST PLAYED SONG of 2007** according to Neilsen BDS. This takes into account all radio play in all formats (pop, AC, HAC, Rhythm, Urban, Dance), satellite station play, streaming on AOL and Yahoo, video play on VH1 and other stations, song play in stores, and other numbers that Neilsen tallies for its survey.”

This is from an Elliott fan site and could be complete carp but I also heard a radio dj say it. I found it hard to believe as well although the song has been played a ton since March, 2007 and still is big so it’s possible. Although your numbers make it unlikely.

*whispers and feels bad* I don’t really like Elliot’s song. I like his personality so much. I wish I could get into his music. I’m very happy for him.

I absolutely can’t stand Jordin’s song. I don’t see how this song is any better than Taylor’s two singles. *scratches my head and tries to figure out radio criteria*

*whispers and feels bad* I don’t really like Elliot’s song.

No need to feel bad! I love his music and I’m betting we have very different musical tastes… good thing we have so many choices!

Is Bo’s CD good? I plan to get it soon.

    *hugs Lu* Your so sweet!

Poor Bo, I was hoping he would do well with his second cd. He didn’t really get to enjoy promoting the first one since he was sick and didn’t get to make the cd he wanted.

Congrats to Carrie who now has the longest running song on the Hot 100 in the last 10 years with Before He Cheats- 63 weeks in the top 100. Whoa.
