   Good heavens. Not the Brittenum twins again! Didn’t they provide enough faux drama in Season 5. And they weren’t very good. Well, at least maybe we’ll get to hear Elliott sing when they replay what jerks these two were the first time around.

   Is it just me or the music on their myspace music pages has been taken down? Hmmm…

   I was just thinking to myself, “What I *really* wanna see is more of the Brittenum twins.”

   Season 7 (if rumors are true) seems to be “Brother of formal American Idol Constestants” year.

   And because we don’t get enough of Brit Brit in the media and every stinkin’ gossip rag, we need to see her overexposed on American Idol too? That Simon’s a genious.

   So, um, why is the sibbling of a WINNER trying out? You mean to tell me that Fantasia can’t pull some strings to help get her brother’s foot in the door?

   Ricco has said that he did try out but the competition “wasn’t for him” … so we will have to see.

   Only about 1/2 of the contestants have removed their songs thus far. AI told contestants thqt they couldn’t have songs posted at this point, however that didnt stop many of the top 40 last year from keeping their ssong online - they just make their MySpaces private.

   There are more and more that are just deleting their MySpaces all together.

   Today is the FIRST round of cuts in Hollywood. Hopefully, we’ll know more…

   And on the TWINS…Makes no sense how they could advance since they did make the top 40 last year…

   I thought that the Brittenum twins would be too old by now to try out for the show. I thought that they were 28 or 29 two years ago. I wonder if they increased the age limit. Hope not. They should change the age range to 18-27, IMHO.

   In a way, I am very grateful for the crazy Brittenum twins because of the drama. If one had not been grouped with Elliott and Sway, we might not have ever seen them. They only showed Elliott for about 30 seconds during the rest of the auditioning process. They had given almost full bios on some of the others.

   I have loved Elliott since Hollywood Week, not only for his voice but I loved the way he stood up for himself and Sway when that twin was trying to trash them in front of Randy, Paula, Simon and the rest of the contestants who were sitting in the seats in the venue. He had no way of knowing how Randy, Paula and Simon would take it, but he spoke up. Loved that. Loved the judges reactions also. Especially Randy’s.

   I did get to hear Jermaine Paul. Nice voice, but nothing I’m getting too excited about (yet)…

    Any news about the Irish girl, who Simon dubbed as the next “Kelly Clarkson”?

    PrimeMinister: I havent been able to figure out whe she is YET. She tried out in Season 5, but didnt get her US Citizenship squared away by Hollywood week.

    What are group auditions? The auditions are my least favorite part of the show. I hope they will show more of the ones that will end up in the top 25.

    MJ: I just PM’ed you at IDF. How about…while they did have a BIG cut today…officially Hollywood week hasnt started yet. In Fact, they are in Pasadena… Whoa!

    EVERYTHING is different this year. While I am not 100% on the No Group thing, one thing I do know is that today was the first day of cuts. 160 auditioners total - 80 auditioned on Mon - 24 were given a “fast pass” to Thurs. Same thing on Tues - 80 auditioned - 24 got a “fast pass” those not getting the “fast pass” sang acapella today. They cut MANY today - Many more girls than boys got cut. Seems like they were really favoring boys.

    AND………………..

    this wasn’t even Hollywood Week … yet. They’re somewhere in Pasadena….Hollywood week is Thurs and Friday.

    This is probably why there will be no group performances. Unless those left after today’s cuts were told that they had to do groups tomorrow and then “rooms” on Friday.

    Then Simon makes it back to the UK for the X Factor on Sat.

    Jermaine Paul was recruited by Syracuse basketball and offered a scholarship, but turned it down to try to make it as a singer. I remember the hoopla surrounding that. He duets with Alicia Keys on the Luther Vandross tribute album (I noted this one as one of my favorites in my Amazon review). He’s very good, but I’m not going to jinx him like I did poor Brandon Rogers last year! No favorites for me.

    I remember Syesha from ‘The One’ (oh horror, the memories of that show). She was one of two I thought had anything going on at all. I hope she makes it through.
