Jason Castro is back in Dallas after, what he calls “a successful” week in LA. In between meeting he managed to write 5 songs. His sister Jackie is featured in this black and white extravaganza, and it’s “Awkward”!

Jackie is super adorable and totally gorgeous. I love her spirit and cute little haircut. Girl has SPUNK. & looks a lot older than 13.

Hmmm . . . Would anyone know where they were when this vlog was recorded? In a studio of some sort? With his parents in the room? A little strange for me, though I think it’s great that he’s so close with his family.

Jackie may have mentioned the brownies because on Jason’s website someone asked his mom to try to convince Jason to let us hear some of his new music early. As a joke she said that she would try to bribe him with brownies.
I didn’t get the 1930 joke at first either. I thought he was talking military time.
FWIW, the studio they were in wasn’t anything big or elaborate. It belongs to Danny Davis who is the worship leader at Jason’s church. But he also is a musician and is someone who Jason also worked with pre-Idol. He and his wife also came out the show Mariah Carey week.
I’ve heard rumors that Danny might have been one of the friends who helped Jason with the arrangement on “I Don’t Wanna Cry”, but I don’t know if that is true.
Jackie does look amazingly mature for her age. Hope she makes more appearances on Jason’s videos. I hear she is a very good singer as well.
