Jason Castro - Date Night - A Lot of Options

Taking meetings, writing music, and recording, is what Jason Castro has been up to lately. He tells his fans in his latest video blog that he “…can’t talk about too much of this stuff,” Jason adds, “things are definitely going good…I’m just figuring out how to move forward from here. There’s a lot of options.”

Jason still hasn’t decided who he’s voting for in the presidential election. And, his family cracks him up. The end.

I love that Jason has lots of options. I love seeing him happy. I’ll be happy when he can talk about more stuff. No need to rush into anything though. Glad that he’s weighing his options.

I love Jason’s combination of intelligence and goofiness! Wonder when the Idols not signed by SONY will finally be able to tell us what’s happening with them beyond hints? I remember people saying something about 3 months after the finale for last year’s Idols. Seems like it must be 6 months this year. I’d really like to know if Jason’s being signed or just making a distribution deal or whatever, and when we can buy his album!

That has got to be his goofiest Date Night vlog yet. I was laughing the whole time! I’m excited for his album. I really liked his style on the show.

Hope his options includes an indie deal. :) Anyway, don’t tell us who you’re voting for, Jason. Idol and politics don’t mix. Maybe years later, but not now.

Idol and politics definitely aren’t a good mix! lol Jason was his goofy smiling self and I love that. :D Can’t wait to find out what his options are.

I love that he has options and has been working his butt off writing and recording, but I can’t wait until he can tell us something substantial.

I think Jason is smart enough to not tell us who he is voting for when he decides. At least he is registered and voting.

It’s awesome that there’s actually stuff he can’t talk about. He’s so goofy lol.

I like that he looks very healthy and well-rested now. He must be sleeping a lot these days. lol

Jason has said several times that Michael sings better than he does. Michael also plays the guitar. I don’t think his style of music is the same as Jason’s. He seems to be a great guy.

At least he’s going into it with his eyes open. I hope that he makes it to Top 24 so that the rest will be up to him and to the voting public.

This blog was posted on the internet Thursday. For those who missed it and wondered what Jason did this week when not writing, recording, taking meetings and posting vlogs, well, Jason went to school. Check out the blog and the three adorable pictures on the blog. Link:

What did you do at School today?

    Hi Ya’ll~

Jason Castro came to school today! I’m not even kidding.

We have a guitar club that has been started for the 5th and 6th graders. It is going gang busters! Like 70 or so kids every week! So today they knew they were having a special guest. . . but never imagined that it would be THE JASON CASTRO!!!!

The kids almost died! There was no oxygen in the room, because they all sucked it up when he walked through the door! He sang parts of 4 songs–more than at the American Idol tour–thank you! answered their questions and signed autographs! Those kids were so excited! They got their guitars signed!

All of the staff kids were lined up in the hallway to get a glimpse! Mrs. Anderson came out and said, “I can’t let you guys sit out here–this is a chance of a lifetime!” So they all got to go in too and sit in the back. Very cool, even for an old lady like me!

Caroline and Kendall both got their autographs and then wanted to go back and get their backpacks signed. Jason took a picture with the staff in the front of the school and snuck out the back door. I would have loved to be in the cars of the guitar club students with their parents!

    Good Times~

Pretty cool, huh. Some friends of members of Jason’s church run the Guitar Club after school program and they told him about it and he volunteered to do that.

I still love this kid and his great attitude of giving and service to others. Combine that with his unique voice and I really do think he will be successful in the music biz. Wonder if brother Michael made it through to Hollywood? Wouldn’t it be funny if Cook’s brother and Castro’s brother both auditioned and made it through? :)

Get that music made for us, Jasonnn - we’re waiting!
