It’s not official yet, but the news is all over the net.
Season 7 contestant, Jason Castro proposed to his girlfriend Mandy Mayhall this weekend, and she said YES!
The photo above was posted on twitter by oklahomarock, with the caption, “American Idol contestant Jason Castro proposes to his girlfriend before an Oklahoma/Kansas State football game in Norman, Oklahoma on Halloween.”
Jason has known Mandy since high school. They began dating during his run on American Idol in 2008.

Those fans of Jason’s may be jealous that they are not the one he is marrying. A true fan, I feel, will be happy for their favorite. Plus, if they knew about him and Mandy before, they should have had an inkling that this could happen.
Congrats to Jason and Mandy. Cute couple with a lot in common. I’m happy for them and happy that Jason’s dream is coming true.
The out of control “fan”, shennch, is a teenager in Asia. Two of the other names that I recognize making negative comments are also teens.
Most of the Twitter comments are positive with congrats being extended.

I couldn’t care less whether someone I’m a fan of is married or not although I think it helps them to be more stable in their life if they are!!
