Jennifer Hudson and her family appealed to the public today for the return of her nephew, Julian King, via Jennifer’s My Space. The police have intensified the search, particularly in the vicinity of the Hudson home. William Balfour considered “a person of interest” in the case, has been been moved into state custody, but has yet to be charged.

Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson appealed on Sunday for the public’s help in finding her 7-year-old nephew, missing since the shooting deaths of her mother and brother.
City police transferred custody of the man labeled a “person of interest” in the shooting deaths to state authorities.
An Amber Alert remained in effect Sunday for young Julian King, who disappeared on Friday, the day the bodies of his grandmother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and 29-year-old uncle Jason Hudson were found in the home they all shared on the city’s South Side. The deaths were ruled homicides.
The Amber Alert listed William Balfour, the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson’s sister, Julia Hudson, as a suspect in a “double homicide investigation.” Julia Hudson is the missing boy’s mother
Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond said authorities considered Balfour a “person of interest” in the case but he had not been charged.
That poor little boy. And in the meantime, Jennifer took on the grim task of identifying the bodies… From TMZ:
The Cook County Medical Examiner told us Jennifer Hudson showed up to identify the bodies of her mother, Darnell, and brother Jason.
It’s “standard operating procedure” for a family member to do this, but that doesn’t mean it’s easy.
And a plea from Jennifer and her family from Jennifer’s MySpace:
“Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately. Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time.”

I can´t believe that poor little kid is still missing…The poor family must be desperate…I hope they found him ASAP, is almost three days, he must be so scared…
Poor Jennifer, I can´t imagine how awful for her to take the task to id the bodies…
I couldn’t do it when my brother was found dead…I had to send my husband!
I’m sure that task is absolutely dreadful! It’s not like you’re at the funeral home after the body has been prepped for viewing.
I did not even question my husband about the ordeal…I didn’t want to know any details. I didn’t ever want that impression in my head for the next 40 years..ya know!
I keep logging on here and searching the net hoping to finally see some positive news in regards to finding Julian…each moments passing has got to be positively agonizing for Jennifer and Julia and the other members of their family. Please dear Lord help them find Julian and may he be safe and unharmed!
I haven’t been able to get Jennifer and her family’s trauma out of my mind. I’ve been praying for them since I first heard the news.
When our nephew was shot and killed, my husband had to identify his body. He has said it was the most horrific thing he’s ever had to do. It has been almost a year and he still wakes up with nightmares from it.
God bless Julian wherever he is. I hope he’s found very soon.
I don’t think I could do it…….poor Jen. I pray that Julian is found soon. WTF is going on? If the guy they have in custody is the culprit doesn’t that mean he has an accompliss? Just horrible and terrifying. This has me all shaken up. It truly bring home what is most important.
Hopefully there’s more going on behind the scenes that the police can’t talk about yet. In the meantime, the longer this drags on…I don’t even want to say it, or think it.

I’m very shaken by all this. Everytime I read a new article I’m in tears. To lose your mother and brother in such a tragic way alone is bad enough but then to have to ID the bodies and cope with this poor child missing. I don’t know if I could do it. I doubt they can even properly grieve.
my thoughts exactly MJ. just imagine what thoughts must be going through Jennifer and Julia’s minds!! I would have to be sedated if I ever had to endure this…the waiting and speculating and worrying would put me over the edge. hopefully the police do have more info than we are privy to…but that still doesn’t change the fact that the child has not been located yet!
I agree, mj. I was so hoping that if Julian had seen the murders and ran, that he’d be relatively close to home and once the Amber Alert was issued he’d be found quickly. Jennifer and her sister must be losing their minds.
If the guy arrested is responsible, it’s a really bad sign that the little boy hasn’t been found. :( I hope, hope, hope no one would hurt an innocent child and he’ll be returned.
If the motive is ransom, I hope the reward helps find the poor little guy. If it’s not, I’m really worried. :(
so sad. they just found the suv they were looking for. and it seems, unconfirmed this sec, that the boy is dead inside the suv. so terrible.
Msnbc- A body of the boy may have been found in a white suv…This is not confirmed hopefully it is not true for the sake of the family.
