pocket book is fierce…and it’ll appeal to the younger gen. i kinda wish there had been one more verse of back and forth between luda and jen.

fantasia and jen… vocal gymnastics that’ll appeal to uac/mainstream r&b for sure. and so too will the duet ‘what’s wrong’ with t-pain.

so far my fave is the song written for jen by robin thicke… but that’s because i love jen’s vocals, especially when she’s motivated to sing with musical subtlety as she did when she performed ‘imagine’ on AI. i’m looking forward to hearing the finished recorded version.

‘if this isn’t love’ is catchy and like pocketbook should give her some crossover appeal.

it’s good to see jen take some calculated risks, but in the end, what’ll work for jen is that… she is undeniably… well… vocally, JEN.

’smartcookie’ is right. while fantasia’s unique vocals have always been front and center… it’s now becoming clear that in today’s music biz… jen’s vocals are uniquely recognizable as well. and i for one, find that refreshing.

I’m interested hear the Fantasia/JH duet – two massive voices on one song. Only one of them can be dominant when they’re singing together. Hmmmm…I’m confident that it’ll sound like Sunday morning. Yeah, I wanna hear that one.

Although it’s sort of generic, I kinda like Roger Friedman’s choice. Jennifer’s voice is AMAZING, but it’s also huge. Sometimes I get the feeling that she still doesn’t quite know what to do with it. It took me a while to get used to “Spotlight”, but now that works for me.

An R & B power-ballad will probably be her best shot. The more I think about it, FanJen might be a winning combination.

I’m not so big on the over-processed (clap clap), digitized (clap clap), all-sound-alike (clap clap) songs, but I guess at least I can tell that it IS J-Hud, unike, oh I don’t know, Kat McPhee, Rihanna, Jojo, Leona Lewis, all of whom sound pretty interchangeable to me in their singles.

Not sure I will buy the entire cd, but certainly the duet alone is worth about 10 bucks. I say they chew the scenery and everything else in their way. I expect alot from this track.
