I wish that during the performance shows, they would show the judges “judging” (term used loosely), but have JPL pretend-commenting for them as the audio.
Anyone know if the ai militia has locked it’s target onto Jason Yeager? Haven’t heard anything from him since Mishavonna.
Looking forward to seeing this. But OMG, what is up with the Megan love? I dunno, I FLOVED Brooke last year, and I feel like she’s a less musical, less talented, less genuine wannabe version and that just bugs me.
Slightly OT, but what happened to Jason Y’s blog’s? Got scared by the haters? Revealed too much? Too many “radio interviews” to jet to? Hmmm…

I’m going to go out on a limb here and say these episodes are one of the best things about AI8 so far this year. I love JPL’s sense of humor, his guests are good and the music’s an added bonus! Thanks so much for posting mj!
A couple people asked about Jason’s recaps above, I wondered about this earlier today and I’m pretty sure I remember he said he’s be in Vegas this week…
Ooh, I liked his song. Actually impressed. Also, random, but I noticed that he plays without a pick– haha, not sure why that’s so interesting to me, but I usually notice girls play without picks, less so guys I guess.
Megans from Utah so is she a mormon. Brooke and Archie are and I assume JPL is also as he attends church with Brooke. That might be where some of the Megans love comes from.
JPL is one of the few bright memories from AI3. How cool that a self-described nobody can get invitations to AI parties and interviews with industry somebodies like Shirley Halperin and Fred Bronson.
Speaking of Fred, whatever happened to Fred who used to comment here during AI5? Fred and Gray Charles kept things lively. Like Bronson, the other Fred was extremely knowledgeable about the industry. You don’t think … ? Nah, couldn’t be.
JPL’s music would do really well on radio if they would give it a spin. I love his style and he is a really great writer. I can so picture that song on One Tree Hill, lol.
I have no idea what religion Megan is. But I don’t know if I would assume that just because she is from Utah, she is a Mormon. I know it’s predominant there, but it’s not universal.

Like someone said upthread, not everyone in Utah is Mormon. For instance, Roseanne Barr, a Jew, grew up in Utah.
JPL is Mormon. But I don’t think Megan’s religion has anything to do with why he likes her. He probably likes her because he thinks she’s hot.
I agree. That little clip of their interaction at the party was hi-larious. He actually gained some cred points with me by not mentioning anything about her singing– he has a (well-justified) crush on her, not her singing, haha. Also liked the tidbit about her love for metal making her more interesting to him. It’s pretty clear what he was attracted to initially, and that he wasn’t enamored with her musicianship to begin with.
