JPL…one of my favorites. Voted off too soon. Has it really been 5 years????
Has JPL been able to make a living in the music business? Except for his appearances at the various Idol finales, I haven’t seen or heard anything about him in years.
This is the first time I’ve checked out this American Nobody show, and it’s funny.
He’s put out a couple of albums–good albums–that didn’t sell well, unfortunately. But he gets steady work doing appearances here and there. He hasn’t gone back to his day job yet.
I have one of JPL albums – the latest one – and it is very good.
I have a confession to make. I cried like a baby when JPL got voted off American Idol, lol. He was the original “rocker” on the show and he paved the way for the Bo’s, David’s and Chris’s. I know one of his albums at least got some pretty good reviews, but it wasn’t to my taste. Good to see he’s still around.
He also taught me to never again waste my time voting for two hours for a contestant. A lesson I totally threw out the window when Adam came along, but will try to relearn again, lol.
The clip keeps freezing – I can’t view the whole thing. His take on the Finale was pretty funny though.
Chikezie sounded really good on “Crazy.” I wish he had done more of what he wanted to do on American Idol, because he was far more entertaining on this show. “American I dol in Crappy Pictures” is great!

Ahhh…Chikezie. The man has a beautiful voice and talent. I sure hope he finds a way to get the musical attention he deserves. Seems like he’s a softie in a very harsh world. Can’t be easy.
This was the first time I watched JPL’s show. It was so funny (American Idol recap)! He should be a writer or something. The craziest thing is whoever said JPL was on 5 years ago– I can’t believe it. I totally remember this guy.
Also Chikezie seems like such a nice guy (nice voice too).

Chikeze definitely should have made the Top 10. He sounded really good there.
Wow, Chikezie sounded great! I had such high hopes for him on Idol after his “She’s a Woman” performance, one of my favorite Idol moments ever … but it never quite panned out for him. Hope he find success
