Jordin Sparks – Battlefield Leaks!
Songs from Jordin Sparks’ upcoming album, Battlefield, due to drop July 21 have leaked online and Jordin kinda pissed!

Oops! I got a couple of the songs here, after the jump. “Walking on Snow”, sounds like a hit, “Emergency 911″–not so much (lame!).

I kinda like the Emergency song. It had me dancing in my chair.
A little photoshop going on with that picture. I don’t like the songs that I listened to, of course I could only make it through a few before I got a headache.
Ugh, complaining about leaked albums is so 2001. I almost think that tweet was an alert to go check out the music. “My album leaked, go see if you want to buy it.” If someone is gonna purchase your music they will buy it whether it leaks or not. Some may decide they don’t like it and not buy it, but some that weren’t going to will hear it and buy it. A wash in the end.
I like the second song better, but neither are very good. Not as good as Battlefield.
I noticed Kelly Clarkson’s most recent cd had the same photoshop issues. I think the record labels have a lot to do with this. They don’t believe people want to buy music by a larger woman. Maybe they’re right, but personally I like a big, shapely woman.
If those pictures are any indication, the record labels think that people only want to buy music by Beyonce.
That could be true, actually, I suppose.
Rotten for Jordin, though. Like Kelly C, she’s pretty just the way she is. (although I do think Clarkson ought to style up a little more. … not so thrilled with them styling Jordin into a Beyonce wannabe so often, though, I must say.)
Jordan has been on TV recently, and she’s nowhere near that think – photoshopped galore.
umm, both songs sound a bit generic…. Miley Cyrus, but with a better voice
ive never thought of her as “overweight” or “fat”…just big …her shoulders, her body size are built like a man……sadly, i couldnt never get into her.
and why be upset that the songs leaked? dont you want press/buzz prior to the drop of an album? if anything, i think it helps generate much needed publicity since both songs lack any real starmaking potential
What exactly is the difference between a leak 2 weeks prior to release and an approved sneak peek 1 week before release? Not seeing enough of a difference there to make an issue out of it.
I like the vibe of the new songs. 911 would be ok without the atrocious lyrics and ringing phone in the song. She should find some hits in there. I like the Walking on Snow one more than Battlefield.
db cooper – you hit the nail on the head. It evens out. Not only that, but if someone wants to illegally download it, they are going to do it, whether it leaks or not.
tigervixxxen – you are right, too. One week doesn’t make a difference at all.
