Jordin Sparks Out of Surgery For Appendicitis and Doing Well

Jordin Sparks had to cancel a trip to Australia due to a bout of acute appendicitis. According to a tweet from her Nana, she is out of surgery and doing well.
Jordin was set to sing a duet with former Idol, Guy Sebastian on the Australian Idol telecast, when the program’s producers received word from Jordin’s label that she was ill with appendicitis and would have to cancel the trip.
Yesterday, Jordin tweeted that she wasn’t feeling well and needed prayer.
But later, according to reports, Jordin’s Nana tweeted that Jordin was out of surgery, “doing great” and ” is very disappointed she wont be singing with guy on aus. idol”
Good to know the surgery was successful. Get well soon Jordin! You’ll be back on your feet before you know it…

Was struck w/ acute appendicitis…took out that appendix last night. Recovering today & the next week or so…Feeling a little better but very sore. Thank you so much for your thoughts & prayers. It means so much & it’s so powerful.

I know that it’s primarily a routine type of surgery, but appendiciitis can be really dangerous. She’s lucky it didn’t burst before they got it out. I have heard horror stories of stuff like that happening. Thank God she’s okay.

Good news that she’s on the mend!! It is disappointing she won’t be on our Oz idol finale with Guy but these things happen!!

Poor thing. That must have been pretty horrible pain too. From the photo, looks like they gave her some good pain killers, though.
