Julianne Hough writes in her Fancast blog that she won’t be returning for the Spring season of Dancing with the Stars:
I wonà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t be on Dancing this spring season. I donà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t know about the fall. Maybe, maybe not. Weà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢ll see. Ià ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢m definitely going to focus on the music. My first album was a learning experience, and I canà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢t wait for the next one. I feel like the writing and producing will be even better, really awesome.
She also told Ryan Seacrest on KIIS FM radio show this morning, “I really, really want to focus on the music and … be taken seriously a little bit, and I think it’s hard to be on Dancing with the Stars and be singing and kind of get that confusion, and so I’m really going to focus on the music.”
Hm. I think she’s a much better dancer than she is singer, (judge for yourself) but what do I know?
She asks y’all to vote for Brooke and Derek, ’cause she thinks they deserve to win. Of course, it has nothing to do with the fact that Derek Hough is her brother. Ahem.
Meanwhile, Lance Bass is like, sooo glad Julianne is gone! He tells People magazine:

His new nemesis is Brooke Burke, and what he has to say about her is just full of Lolz:

I love Lance’s candor and humor. I agree…..the judges are in love with her. All of them.
Lance Bass is a ass. (That’s my rhyming nod to Shakespeare.)
Lance is in position to win, I think. Lacey’s routines are more interesting than Derrick’s. I’ve been a Brooke booster the whole way but Lance (ass or not) and Lacey seem to have more chemistry and I wouldn’t mind him winning.
I appreciate both Lance and Brooke. I’ll be happy if either wins (Warren is fun, but that would be a bit of a stretch for me).
That said, Brooke has been more consistant, but Lance has been improving.
Dumb move on Julianne’s part to quit dancing.
If she spends her valuable off time taking singing lessons, then okay. Sorry, but something seems odd about her singing to me.
Isn’t she a bit of a gold digger too? At least if you believe the gossip sites?
She’s a fantastic dancer. Not a great singer. Besides, you can sing country music without the fake accent. Come on!
I think Julianne is poised to become the next big “thing”. She’s multi-talented so good for her.
Brooke Burke has been terrific; even her hand movements are so elegant. I’m pulling for her for the win.
I love Lance. Although I agree with what he said, wish he had waited until after the judging was over before making those statements. IMO, Brooke’s last dance was not worthy of the 10 that Len gave it.
gabam, I was thinking the same thing. The comment about Brooke could be taken as a total put down. It is clear that she is number one in Len’s eyes. This should be an exciting final, much better than last year’s.
